The house was terrific and very well equipped for a large group. We particularly appreciated the spacious bedrooms with places to sit, and the sunroom with extensive views down the river. The dining room is ideal for a large group to share a meal. The lounge with log burning stove was a cosy night time retreat. Two very large fridges plus a freezerRead more had capacity for a week of groceries. There was lots of hot water and heating that works well. Hide

Laxford Cottage is ideally located for exploring the North West coast of Scotland. The setting is stunning with marvellous views down the river to the loch, where on many a morning we watched an Otter playing. The cottage size was great for us as 2 couples with plenty of space for relaxing. Easy to visit Durness, Cape Wrath, Assynt from here and a Read moregood river walk from the cottage iteself. Hide

Wonderful location for exploring magnificent scenery- mountains, river and coast. Very comfortable house for eight of us and well equipped, with wonderful hot water and wood burning stove. Favourite room was the conservatory with the beautiful view of Laxford River.

Lovely well appointed house only let down by the Saturday to Saturday let which is not convenient to fishermen who fish weekdays and travel on Sunday. We have stayed here many times before and would do again.
