Lovely cottage in a wonderfully secluded location but within striking distance of local amenities and things to do. The cottage was warm and well equipped and we had a lovely week.

Amazing location, so quiet and peaceful. Pictures don't really do it justice, it's spacious, gardens huge, nice walk to the beach which takes about 20 mins but only for fit and able. Cottage had everything we needed, as a group of six adults and two dogs we were all very happy. Bed lined super crisp and clean.

The location of this cottage was the real winner for me, hidden away from the road, secluded, plenty of outside space, 20-30 min walk to the beach from the cottage, from where i was able to sea fish several times, scenery and views from within the cottage conservatory were excellent too, finally the cottage and its location were the best we have haRead mored so far for being dog friendly. As wildlife photographers we hoped to see lots of wildlife which we did see a fair amount of birds as we brought feeders and seed with us not expecting to use them as most property's we've stayed at usually have already, we think we saw more because the birds came to use the feeders and the cottage would benifit with a feeding station near the cottRead moreage it doesn't have to be right next to property as there plenty room in the garden even at a distance, most folk are happy to top these up with seed Hide

A very comfortable and cosy cottage, sitting in the sun room looking out at the remoteness is very relaxing. A great place for the dogs especially the 20 mins walk down to the deserted beach. It is well equipped and the free logs were much appreciated. Lots of walks both from the cottage and just a short drive away.

The cottage is in a nice, private location. The building is full of character and felt spacious and cosy. Plenty of wildlife to see in the garden. Well positioned for the Portavadie - Tarbert ferry to cross Loch Fyne. We will return.

Lilybank is a very warm, comfortable and secluded cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage is more spacious than youd imagine from the photos and is very characterful but complete with all mod cons. The ability to walk from the end of the garden down to the shores of the loch means the car can see very little use if you so choose. Although a loRead moreng way to anywhere, the peace and tranquility are unparalleled and worth the lengthy drive. Very highly recommended. Hide

The cottage is beautiful, the garden, woods and river are a delight. Its is beautifully clean, a credit to Kirsty. A Christmas tree was a lovely surprise.. The kitchen lacks some essentials. We had a great stay at Lilybank. It was clean, well organised, and the seclusion is perfect. The stars are magnificent on a clear night, and we saw a Hen Harrier in the day! Our only concern is that it is advertised as having an enclosed garden, however there is an opening with no gate that leads to further woodland. We chose this cottage specificaRead morelly for the enclosed garden. If you have a little Houdini, as we do, this is something to be vigilant of. Hide

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Lilybank. The setting is very secluded which suited us. It has virtually everything we needed for our stay and I loved the interesting furnishings brought back from Iran. There are no shops nearby but we found if we brought enough provisions for 3 - 4 days we could visit Dunoon for a restock.
