Lormac is a great place to stay, so characterful and full of interesting things, and so comfortable, the beds are superb! As a father and son combo we particularly enjoyed the man-cave, but Im sure it will provide a great experience for all! Its a great location too, so easy to be along the coast or into Stornoway.

Unfortunately this log cabin was not as clean as we would have liked-particularly the kitchen area and it had not been dusted. In view of coronavirus we were assured by the cottage company that risk assessments/cleaning protocols had been sent to the owners. If so, the cleaner had not followed these. In addition the PAT testing (electrical testing)Read more on appliances was out of date. I will be sending an official complaint to the cottage company as these are two of the main issues we encountered. Hide

Bright, spacious bedrooms and downstairs, comfortable beds, great location. Be aware one en suite has no door.

We loved the property, although we couldnt use the upstairs terrace because of the mess birds had made. Other than that it was a great place to stay for a week.

Lovely house and furnishings. Beautiful island.

What an amazing week we spent at Lormac log house. The house was so cosy and comfortable in rather cold, wet and windy weather. Beautifully furnished and decorated with everything you could want. Being close to Stornoway meant you were close to supermarkets. Great base to see the Island, from the amazing standing stones, the lighthouse at the Butt Read moreof Lewis to the amazing beaches in Harris. Lews Castle was also worth visiting with its museum, lovely cafe and shop. If we return to Lewis we would have no hesitation in booking Lormac again and would recommend it to anyone who wishes to visit Lewis. Hide
