The cottage is surrounded by 100 acres of its own farmland and enjoys glorious sweeping views across to Ben Rinnes and down the Spey Valley towards the River Spey and the Cairngorm National Park. Located atop a hillside just 1 mile from Archiestown, this cottage affords a stunning rural setting which nature lovers will simply adore. Just behind the property, you'll find the ancient Scots Pine trees which lead to the Elchies forest. Here you'll be spoilt for choice with endless varieties of flora and fauna to discover. The nearby 18th-century village of Archiestown is a pleasant 1-mile walk along a woodland path. Here you can stock up on supplies and enjoy a local meal in one of the many friendly establishments. The area of Moray has plenty to offer: from the beaches of the Moray Coast (around 25 miles) to the breathtaking Cairngorms National Park - approximately 50 miles away.

The traditional stone cottage gives way to a light and airy lounge which is equipped with a wood burner, plush sofas and a TV. This comfortable and homely space can accommodate five guests easily for a relaxed and cosy evening together. There is a spacious kitchen/diner which also shares the same bright, modern style and is well equipped for casual dinners and leisurely breakfasts. Also on the ground floor is a shower room with WC, a utility room and a single bedroom. A short walk up the carpeted stairs leads to two light and airy bedrooms: one double and one twin room, both tastefully decorated in a simple style with plenty of space for your clothes. There is also a family bathroom with shower over bath.

Outside, guests will find plenty of space where they can sit and enjoy the endless views of the countryside from the enclosed garden. This is the perfect picnic spot for your family to get together and enjoy the fresh air or to fire up the BBQ and eat a delicious meal alfresco.

The picture on the website shows the cottage which looks to be on flat fields, its not its on top of a steep hill, This is a very nice comfortable Cottage, with lovely views all around with a large well fenced garden, secure for the dog to run at leisure, we were here the last week of August and it was very windy on top of the hill, we werent able Read moreto sit out because even the wind speed being 18 mph was very strong up on the hill, and the heating is night storage or log fire. Lovely and quiet. Hide

We stayed here for the Scottish Orienteering Festival. The location was good for the races and the terrain in Culbin, Darnaway, Lossie and Roseisle forests was excellent for racing. We enjoyed the cottage's seclusion and views.

We enjoyed our stay very much. In the middle of fields, forrests, cattle and sheep - what a contrast in comparison to the big city where we live. The views are fantastic and the feeling of having breakfast unser the sun, nearly in the sky was just lovely.

Lovely well equipped, comfortable, character cottage in an idyllic location up a track strewn with orchids and wildflowers, perfect place to unwind but also very well situated to explore a really beautiful area little known apart from distilleries. Virtually the only sound was birds, a few crickets late in the evening and the cows in the adjacent fRead moreield happily cudding. I could look at the view across to Ben Rinnes forever.. Brilliant place to stay with dogs. Hide

Another amazing stay at Lynes Cottage! We couldnt ask for a better location for exploring the surrounding area and for some much needed down time and just simply enjoying the views and the peace and quiet. Tracey ensured the house was welcoming and immaculate when we arrived and checked in on us when we had a storm. We will be back for our 4th visiRead moret as soon as we can. Hide
