Rewarding guests with incredible views overlooking the mountains and with easy access to the start of the biker-haven Burma Road, there are plenty of ways to experience the surrounds first-hand. As well as adventure, this property also offers a secluded paradise where relaxed mornings and chilled-out afternoons can be dragged out with picnics and playtime, relishing a free agenda and hours to spend exactly as you please.

As soon as you pull up on the private driveway of this Edwardian country home, you will immediately gain a sense of the scale and quality within. Peppered with cute nooks to snuggle up with a book and open spaces perfect for socialising, there is somewhere to suit every mood. Starting your day in the well-appointed kitchen, the soothing tones, abundant natural light and generous appliances (all centred around a gorgeous Aga) create the ideal setting for preparing culinary masterpieces for the whole family. Gather around the breakfast island for steaming cups of tea and treats of Scottish shortbread or head into the separate dining area through the kitchen's attractive archway to share plates piled high with local goodies. For a more formal evening meal, there is also another dining room with a table and chairs and enough space for everyone to gather around. Later on, while the adults make tracks towards the lounge to crack open a bottle of Scottish whisky or smooth red wine to accompany fireside chatter, the youngsters will adore spending time in the pool room. When tiredness eventually kicks in, you will find the bedrooms on the first floor, all ready to ensure everyone has a dreamy night's sleep. These include four double bedrooms (three of which have en-suites), one twin bedroom and a single bedroom.

The kind of property you will love spending time in come rain or shine, this family home has year-round appeal. While winters are extra romantic curled up by the open fire after hours on the ski slopes, hazy summer days are best spent outside in the grounds, playing games of frisbee, hide and seek and quietly watching out for the shy deer, pine martens and red squirrels who sometimes pay a visit. Just keep an eye on any curious  youngsters in your party who might be tempted to roam further afield, as the private gardens are unenclosed.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The house was really warm and welcoming , had a very lived in feel and actually was happy that the decor was not in tip top condition as it is a proper holiday home where dogs are welcome. Lorna our care taker was super great and So helpful, house was really clean . if you want an amazing holiday home , rooms you can actually use , fabulous locatioRead moren and surroundings then this is perfect . Great location just off the A9 and only a few minutes drive to the shops in Aviemore. We had a great stay with plenty of room for everyone and the games room provided much entertainment.

We have just spent a long weekend at Lynwilg and found the house to be great for a party of 10 adults. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate all. The kitchen was particularly well equipped, nothing we couldn't find. The space , both inside and out was great, room for all to spread out. Mention must be made of Lorna, whose attenRead moretion to detail was much appreciated, table set for dinner, fresh flowers in some rooms. We even wondered if she had a hand in arranging the fantastic weather and the icing on the cake, - the spectacular display from the golden eagle chasing the buzzards on the hill behind the house! We really enjoyed our stay. The arrangements of bedrooms and bathrooms was great. Loved the kitchen and all the endless fridges and freezers (important as we were three families). Not to mention the super garden which was great for the children to play in and the adults to ear outside. We hope to return!
