Located on the Kildermorie Estate, this spot is the perfect hideaway for those that want to spend their holidays walking, adventuring and reconnecting with nature. Right from the doorstep you will have access to forests, lochs and rolling hills with endless walks, so staying entertained throughout your stay will be wonderfully easy. 14 miles away is the town of Alness where you can grab all of the provisions you should need for your stay as well as a bite to eat in the evenings you don't fancy cooking. A trip to Scotland surely isn't complete without a visit to a whisky distillery, and one particularly great one is the Dalmore Distillery in Alness with its beautiful waterside location and the opportunity to book a full tour of the premises.

Upon entering this cosy cottage, you will arrive into the small entrance hall/boot room which is perfect for keeping your outdoor gear when it needs to dry off. Everything within this property is neatly finished and well equipped, including the kitchen/dining area which is perfect for crafting a delicious feast. The sitting room is quaint and traditional with clean and crisp touches giving the area a nice light and bright feel. Heading up a few steps, you will then enter the bedroom which can either be made into a twin room or double room, alongside a dressing area and large bathroom. This entire area has been lovingly finished to ensure a comfortable stay for all, as well as making it a breeze to get ready for the day ahead and have a restful night's sleep.

Outside, there is a driveway which can accommodate two cars and a lawned area that you could lay a blanket on for a picnic. In addition to this, you cannot forget the vast countryside that lies right on your doorstep, ready for you to explore at your  leisure.

This cottage is ideal for destressing and relaxing. It is situated in a remote area surrounded by forests and tracks. May cottage is compact but met all my needs. No tv . The cleanest cottage we have stayed in. All you could need for 2 people for a peaceful, relaxing week. A fabulous location hidden in the Easter Ross hills. A lovely cottage on a Highland sporting estate where you see the staff who are genuinely friendly and welcoming. May Cottage is spotlessly clean and is on a extremely well kept traditional Highland Sporting Estate. All the staff were polite, helpful and friendly including Magda who welcomed us on our arrival. We enjoyed having the freedom to explore the Estate (stalking activities allowing). We fished in the lochs and the river glasa, watched Ospreys, Red ThrRead moreoated Divers, etc. We enjoyed the drive in on the private track which gave a real feeling of 'getting away from it all'. We hope to be back soon. Hide

The cottage is a lovely place to stay, well-heated, well-equiped and spotless. The sitting room is not comfortable however, being only just wide enough for a two-seater sofa and certainly not big enough to swing a cat. Magda, Kris, and all the other staff that we met could not be more friendly and helpful. The road in however, is so rough that no nRead moreormal family car could make it. A high clearance appears a necessity. If you like remoteness as we do, this is the place for you Hide
