This highland cottage is the perfect place for your next family getaway. Head out of your door straight into the wilds of the Cairngorms National Park to walk, roam, cycle, and play the day away.

The cottage is set at the foot of the Cromdale Hills, a rugged area with some wonderful walks to explore. Pass by castle ruins and other mysteries along your way, or follow the River Spey for a misty trail into the Cairngorms National Park. 4 miles to the south, you'll discover the delights of Granton-on-Spey, a historic town with pubs and shops to entertain you, and of course plenty of the golfing and whisky famous to the area.

Enter the property through the sweet stone façade, perfect for space to leave your coats and boots after a long walk. Here you will also find the shower room with WC. Head through to the delightful lounge with snug sofas beside a traditional stone fireplace with open fire where you can snuggle up and watch your favourite movie on Netflix. The conservatory is the perfect escape for grabbing the last of the light as it dips below the hills and you may even spot the local wildlife. There is a dining room with a comfortable double sofa bed, so you can turn this space into a third bedroom if you need. There is a well-equipped kitchen for you to cook up your meals which leads to the utility area room. Upstairs, your two bedrooms (a double and a twin) delightfully decorated and offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape. You will also find the family bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

The space outside is just as pretty. Enjoy the lush grass the wraps around the cottage, perfect for kids and dogs to stretch their legs in or settle down to an al fresco dinner in the highland air — there's a sweet patio area with BBQ on the patio.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

An excellent family orientated cottage situated for outdoor exploring. Cairngorms almost on the doorstep and Moray coast less than an hour away. Really enjoyed the view from the cottage and cozy fire should the evenings grow chilly.

An idyllic location with fantastic views. Had a lot of different birds visit including woodpeckers & deer running through the huge garden. Lovely walks nearby, Aviemore a short drive & Granton just along the road.

We were not put off as we had read earlier reviews but surprised the owners have not acted. It is a fantastic cottage and location but come on owner- sort it out.
