This lovingly converted detached house is an ideal spot to enjoy the coastal village of Badachro and surrounding areas. Located in a peaceful setting with stunning views over the harbour.

With the beautiful views on offer in such a delightful part of Scotland, this house has been thoughtfully designed to make the most of them. Surrounded by mountains and overlooking the harbour and Gairloch Bay, staying here will really give you a sense of just how picturesque the west coast of Scotland is. Even on those cold and wintery nights you can make yourself cosy in the sunroom and still enjoy the landscape around you. Within walking distance is Badachro, a former fishing village and classed as one of the most scenic places to visit while you are in Scotland. 

Inside the house, the ground floor comprises of a spacious lounge with TV, DVD, CD and electric fire. Patio doors lead from this room out into the large enclosed garden with its south-facing patio. The kitchen is large and well-equipped with microwave, electric oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Adjoining the kitchen is the breakfast area and dining room, also with doors leading outside to the garden. There is a utility room with washing machine/dryer, shower room and separate WC. One of the twin bedrooms also lies on the ground floor. On the first floor, we have the master double bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath, WC and heated towel rail. 

Outside but adjoining the main house is the large sunroom for you to socialise and relax in making the most of those inspiring views. The large south-facing patio gives you the freedom to dine alfresco. On those warmer summer evenings take advantage of the external sun house with decking and seating.

 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The house was very nice, lots of room, good beds, great showers, and lots of kitchen equipment. Good wifi. However, by adding some nice towels (those that are there are thin and old) and renew one or two of the frying pans it would be a fantastic house. Lovely location.

Overall we loved this cottage and would rate it amongst the best we have stayed in. Very spacious and comfortable, and the layout certainly makes the best of the fantastic views. There are plenty of places to sit all around the house, to enjoy the views, inside and outside. Beds were comfortable, and the showers were good. What's more, The BadachroRead more Inn is excellent, and only a 5 -10 minute walk away. The perfect place to enjoy one of the best parts of Scotland. We hope to be back soon. Hide

The house itself is beautiful, plenty of seating and very airy, a lovely sun room, plenty of kitchenware, crockery & cutlery. The problem was the cooker, there was no separate grill, the grill was the top of the oven which meant that you couldn't use the grill if the oven was on and visa versa. This was not such a big problem for us as only 3 peoplRead moree could actually make the trip due to illness but as the house sleeps 8 it could cause problems for others. We were surprised that the downstairs room was a twin not a double and that this room had very little furniture to hang clothes etc. The garden is enclosed so perfect for dogs, unfortunately ours didn't make the journey because of the family illness but I'm sure she would have enjoyed exploring it.
