This converted shepherds cottage has been renovated with traditional country elements in mind, leaving you fully immersed in the countryside environment. The property is accessible via an off-road farm track, 0.5 miles from the main road, ensuring you'll have complete peace and quiet throughout your stay. Wander down to the nearby River Cannich (less than 0.5 miles) and fish for pike or brown trout to take home and cook. For challenging hikes and walking routes, travel either 5 miles to Loch Mullardoch and walk its circumference, or attempt to summit the vast Sgurr na Lapaich (29 miles). The local village of Cannich is 5 miles and offers a pub, shop and post office.

Enter first into the sitting room, where cosy sofas face a flickering open fire and create a cosy space to curl up with a good book. Follow on into the kitchen and you'll find a sociable space with dining table and comfy sofas, so the family's designated chef can have some company whilst they cook. A traditional Esse range oven will warm the room throughout and offers a unique way to cook dinner, but you'll also find a back-up electric oven in the kitchen alongside a fridge/freezer, microwave and a dishwasher. Staying on the ground floor, you'll find a twin cosy bedroom and two family bathrooms, both offering WC and bath. The rest of the bedrooms can be found up the stairs on the first floor, where one double bedroom, one twin and one single boast the same traditional style and comfortable space to rest.

Privacy is assured as the property is in a remote location on private land, so feel free to utilise all the vast green space around you for ball games or outdoor activities. There's an enclosed garden which is perfect for letting your dogs stretch their legs or younger children to explore in a secure space. You'll also find plenty of space for car parking.

Wonderful cottage and idyllic location and complete escapism.. the enclosed garden was perfect for our prey obsessed spaniel and the cattle grid gateway concerned us at first but he was unable to fathom escaping over it thank goodness! We observed wildlife daily which was great and the peace and quite meant we were able to recharge our batteries.. Read morelocation perfect! Hide

Beautiful location. Truly get away from it all. We want to come back. Cosy comfy bed. Really well equipped kitchen. A hill walker's paradise. We loved our stay here. If you want to get away from it all this is the place for you. (If you're scared of deer or cows it might not be the place for you).

Lovely location, quiet and well equipped cottage. Loved the deer coming down the hill in the evening. Be aware: the Esse range oven is now just an ornamental piece. The bedrooms on the first floor are ok for children, but adults might have difficulties standing upright. The cottage is frequented by some mice, but the cottage does offers quite a lotRead more of mice traps ;-) Hide

Fantastic location. Couldn't ask for anything better . There were duvets provided on every bed and radiators in every room. Some reviews say that there weren't. It was a shame that the aga no longer works. Magical place.

Absolutely amazing views and very peaceful. Would definitely return in the future. The pub nearby was really friendly and inviting, food was simply but excellent. Be aware that there was an problem with the drinking water however the owners provide plentiful amounts of bottle water so it wasn't really an issue
