The ground floor of this beautifully appointed, detached accommodation begins with an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The well-equipped kitchen is the perfect place to cook up a storm with Rangemaster electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave, and a TV. Relax back on the sofas in the lounge area in front of the TV/DVD, with French doors leading directly outside to the patio area. A convenient utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Two bedrooms are also located on the ground floor, one stylish double bedroom with lovely sea views and a twin bedroom. There is also a ground floor bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Upstairs (via steep stairs) on the first floor are the remaining two bedrooms. One lovely twin, and the other is a small cabin bedroom with single bed, ideal for a child or teenager. There is also a handy shower room with large shower and WC. The final room is a large nautical-inspired second lounge which boasts an open fire and access to an enclosed balcony looking out to the sea with seating area. Or relax and enjoy a great movie on the TV/DVD or perhaps play one of the board games on offer.

Venturing outside to the wrap around mature gardens, there is a delightful large patio area located directly in front of the property, with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ. Brilliant house in a perfect setting for exploring Arran which had everything we needed for our stay; plus it was only a stones throw to the beach, and it had loads of parking too. And the local pub, The Shurig, is amazing, with some of the best food weve ever eaten.

Our party of 6 and dog had a great week in this good sized cosy house situated just a short stroll from seafront, popular coffee shop and nearby hotel/restaurant. Dining kitchen ideal for size of our group. Three of the bedrrom, with comfy beds had plenty of room, however the 4th is just a big cupboard with tiny bed. Fortunately we discovered a sofRead morea bed in the upstairs lounge ... Great spot for us to watch the Euros with great views from balcony. Decor a bit tired but we enjoyed our stay. Hide

The house is well appointed. Everything you need is already there. Lovely upstairs lounge, and spacious downstairs dining/kitchen area. We found the kitchen chairs a bit cumbersome. Beds were very comfortable. The 4th bedroom was little more than a bunk in a cupboard with no blind at the skylight window (fortunately we did not have to use it). The Read morefinish on the property was not of premium quality. Only minutes from the sea front, but Whiting Bay is not our favourite.. We much prefer Lamlash. Hide

Lovely cottage in a great location. Well equipped, clean but as others have said in need of some modernisation.

-The cabin bedroom with single bed is not suitable for young children. It is a high bed squeezed into an airing cupboard with a slatted see-through door and no curtain on the roof window. We had to move the mattress to the floor of another room for our 2yr old to be safe. -The property has been finished to a low standard looking like a diy job. It Read moreis in need of a renovation.
