  • Fabulous six-bedroom property perfect for family gatherings and special occasions
  • Enjoying a breathtaking position on the banks of Loch Broom with far reaching sea views
  • Pick up your paddle for a kayak adventure across the water
Property code: CA259

Sitting in splendid isolation on the shoreline of the loch, this six-bedroom property is less than 2 miles from the amenities of the picturesque fishing village of Ullapool with its shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. Encounter seabirds, seals and maybe even dolphins on a cruise across Loch Broom and stop off at Tanera Mor, the last place in Britain to print its own stamps. Charter a private boat for a sea fishing trip or pull on your wetsuit for a scuba dive exploring the many wrecks below the water. If you prefer to keep your feet dry, then hike up Ullapool Hill for wonderful views across the village and Loch Broom or if you have a head for heights then try the more challenging climb up Stac Pollaidh (14 miles). Nestled beneath Stac Pollaidh is the Inverpolly National Nature Reserve where you can see pine martens, buzzards and golden eagles.

Perched on the side of the loch, your holiday home enjoys an unrivalled location for special occasions and family celebrations. Spread across three storeys, this cottage is tastefully decorated in warm and welcoming tones and offers comfortable accommodation in magnificent surroundings. Step down to the ground floor where you will find your living room with plump sofas arranged around the wood burner.. This is a wonderful room to curl up and relax in as you catch up on the family news or play a board game or cards. The spacious kitchen diner has everything you need to make your stay a home-from-home, including an electric range cooker, induction hob, two fridges and two freezers for all your provisions, a wine fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Plan your day with a coffee at the breakfast bar or enjoy a convivial meal at the formal dining table. Guests of all ages will enjoy a game of table tennis in the summer room where you can light the wood burner on cooler nights and enjoy the views across the loch. There is also access to the patio. A utility room with washing machine and dryer and a WC on this floor too. Head back upstairs to the entrance level where you will find four of the six bedrooms and the family bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Step into the master king-size bedroom with views across the water and an en-suite bathroom with separate shower and WC. Further along is a cosy double bedroom dressed in crisp linens and brightly coloured soft furnishings, with en-suite bathroom with hand-held shower over bath and WC. Two welcoming twin bedrooms can also be found on the entrance level, both enjoying sea views. Up another flight of stairs are a further two comfortable double bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms with separate shower and WC. Younger guests will enjoy spending time in the playroom or watching their favourite cartoons on the TV.

Watch the movement of the water as you sit with an al fresco drink in the garden and listen to the sounds of the waves and the seabirds. Please note, this property sits right on the shorefront and children and animals should be supervised at all times.

Such a lovely warm spacious house and very well equipped. Cant fault it at all. We were a group of 11 including teenagers and 2 dogs. The table tennis and darts provided additional entertainment! We were all really blown away with how well equipped the house was, the kitchen had every cooking appliance needed and was so well stocked from crockery, pans etc, and the nice touch with the food we were told to use freely. The books, games, too many to mention. The high standard of decoration, especially in the bedrooms and quality.

Burnside house is a great place for families and friends to stay. It's very well furnished in all rooms and the kitchen is very well equipped. The location, right on the shore of Loch Broom, is stunning. We were a group of five couples so every couple had their own bathroom albeit those in one of the twin rooms had to cross the landing. Fantastic stay at a gorgeous house in a stunning location. Never stayed in such a well equipped holiday home before. Kids loved being able to paddle board right outside house and play table tennis. No negatives whatsoever. Would love to return.

Wow! What a house We had a great week. The house is so well prepared for all potential activities. Some were in the Loch everyday and spectators sat in the outdoor area or the games room. A cosy and welcoming place to be in October. Will definitely be back.

Burnside House is spectacular. We were a party of 10 and the house was well equipped. Every utensil you could possibly need and lovely to have quality crockery, rather than the usual IKEA.
