With jaw-dropping views across the water towards Holy Isle, this homely farmhouse is the perfect bolthole for activity holidays in North Ayrshire.

Set within 7 acres of secluded lawns and woodlands at Kings Cross point on the Isle of Arran, this delightful farmhouse is perfect for family walking breaks. Located between the villages of Lamlash and Whiting Bay, it is within easy reach of nearby pubs, restaurants and supermarkets. Keen golfers can choose between the greens at both villages, while water lovers should visit the Arran Yacht Club and Arran Coastal Rowing Club. Closer to home, a footpath leads from the front door down to two sheltered bays with rock pools to discover, perfect for families.

Inside, this traditional Arran farmhouse is full of homely charm. After long days, prepare family meals in the modern kitchen, which has been fitted with shaker-style units and looks out onto the garden through a sash window. Here you will find a new oil-fired Rayburn, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and microwave. Once prepared, enjoy meals in the dining room complete with open fire, before settling down for a relaxing evening in front of the TV in the lounge. There is a small sunroom for unwinding with a book in the afternoons. Also on this floor is a double bedroom and bathroom with overhead shower. Upstairs, the light and bright master double bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room, while a second double bedroom and a single bedroom share a second shower room.

Outside, there is plenty of shared space for children to play safely. A large grassy area by the shower is ideal for ball games if you can take your eyes off that spectacular view beyond.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely Arran break, peaceful, loads space for the grandchildren to enjoy outside red squirrels in garden, mini microclimate in the lee of Holy Island. Loved it

A superb house, with very welcoming and friendly owners who are on hand if needed but otherwise keep themselves to themselves. Wonderful setting in a stunning part of Arran. Happy days spent on beach below house with children, and then taking in evening view from newly built conservatory. A great base.
