This beach side Arran house invites you to break the rhythm of everyday life and live out childhood adventures, skimming stones, picnicking by the shore and walking the endless wilds

Whether you are an adventure lover, wildlife watcher or simply looking for a way to kick back and rejuvenate far from the madding crowds, this five-bedroom cottage is the place to go. Located in Lamlash on the Isle of Arran, there are walks in abundance ready for boot-clad feet and tufty paws to roam free. Explore the beautiful surrounds and absorb as much of the jaw-dropping scenery as you can, before returning to your new favourite place to be and watching the sunset.

Spy seals playing on the shore as you sip your morning coffee and watch the sunshine bounce and flicker on the water. Boasting some of the most beautiful views in the country, this charming home from home commands an enviable position overlooking the sea and is the most idyllic base from which to watch the world tick by outside. Tear your gaze away if you can and turn your attention inside; in an open-plan design, the kitchen/diner has all the space you could need to both prepare and dig into meals at home throughout the day. Enjoy the cosy character of the room as you rustle up food for your clan and ponder plans for the day. If the weather is not so grand, staying at home is a thoroughly inviting option too. As well as the kitchen/diner, the cottage also has a comfortable lounge in which you can sink into comfortable sofas. Overlooked by an open fire, the inviting atmosphere lends itself perfectly to curling up with a book, spreading out with a jigsaw or chatting away over a cup of tea. Later on, soothe tired limbs in the bath before hopping into one of the property's comfortable beds. Downstairs is a twin bedroom and a handy shower room, while upstairs you'll find one double, one single and two twins, plus two bathrooms.

With a garden that merges with the shore, you will want to spend as much time outside as possible. Dogs will love chasing sticks over the soft grass and diving in the water, while children's imaginations will be thoroughly captivated watching gannets swoop and plunge beneath the surface of the water. Of course, if you want to go further afield, there is plenty to see and do nearby, including more walks you could complete in a lifetime. For added convenience, Lamlash village has a number of restaurants and pubs less than a mile away, as well as a beach, pier and village shops.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Weve rented Seabank for 11 years in a row - fantastic location on Lamlash Bay with views of Holy Isle and daily bird and sealife to view. Accommodation is quite basic but very comfortable with perfectably adequate utilities for a group of 9, including wifi.

Loved the house. Amazing views and location. A little drafty even in August but doesnt take away from the charm of the place. When we arrived it was a lovely evening and it would have been nice to sit out at the front and admire the view on a nice patio set. Fold up chairs supplied are okay but a patio at the front would make the house perfect. BesRead moret equipped house Ive ever stayed in. Amazing holiday. Hide

The house was perfect for a get together at New Year. We were fortunate with the weather so the heating was adequate. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were a little chilly due to dampness. The housekeeper was very helpful throughout our stay without being intrusive. Overall we were very happy with the house and our stay.

Seabank is a stunning house set in a fabulous location with breathtaking views. The house is well equipped with lots of room for all 9 guests and dog! There was absolutely nothing missing that we needed throughout our stay and we will definitely be returning in the future. The manager Cathy was accommodating and reachable.

Friends and family gathering which went very well. We all enjoyed the tranquillity of Lamlash, the views from Seabank and the comfortable furnishings of the house. The Pier Head Tavern provided good music Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon and we also enjoyed numerous meals there especially the Chowder and Scallops. We hope to return.

Have been here several times before. Absolutely beautiful and very comfortable house. Lovely place to spend a week. Beautiful views of the water and Holy Isle. Looks a little bit shabby in some of the rooms. Outside needs a lick of paint. But don't let that put you off. It's such a homely house. You'll love it.
