Loch Linnhe offers stunningly wild scenery and plenty of outdoor activities for the whole family. Whether you enjoy simply walking alongside the sea and taking in the views, or prefer something more active, this is the ideal location. Heading north to Fort William (15 miles), which sits beneath Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, you will discover several outdoor activity centres. From the adrenalin rush of white-water rafting to spotting golden eagles on a leisure cruise on the loch, there is something for everyone. A unique way to enjoy the stunning natural landscape is by steam train - enjoy a nostalgic ride on The Jacobite from Fort William to Mallaig to take in the magnificent views. Alternatively, take one of the many boat trips available on the loch – sit back and relax and watch out for dolphins, seals, red deer and golden eagles.

Enter this pretty, whitewashed cottage through the front door and you will find yourself in a lovely open-plan sitting/dining/kitchen area. The smart, contemporary kitchen is well-equipped with everything you might need for creating some tasty meals, and there is a handy breakfast bar where you can sit and enjoy a coffee before heading out to the hills. The dining table sits in one corner and the lounge area is invitingly arranged around a wood burner. With two soft and welcoming sofas and a large armchair, this is a cosy spot to kick back after a day in the fresh air. Throw another log on the wood burner and enjoy the glow on your toes. Next door, the utility room has a handy washing machine and tumble dryer. There are three lovely bedrooms; two doubles – one with a smart en-suite shower room – and a twin, all with crisp, fresh cotton bedding, lovely views and plenty of storage space. In addition, there is a family bathroom with a bath, handbasin and WC.

Outside, the cottage is surrounded by a large lawn and there is a large gravelled area to the front where you can sit and enjoy the peace of the surrounding hills and woodland. Safely enclosed, it is ideal for keeping children and pets safe.

Great cottage with all the facilities you could ask for. The fire place was great and kept us warm. So much to see and do nearby. Deers and sheep could be seen from the windows. Very private location which was perfect to get away and relax.

A great place to stay for touring this area of Scotland. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed watching the deer on the hills behind the cottage. Great cottage but with the corran ferry not working it was a real pain especially not being able to get in the cottage until five which to my mind is far too late then finding the ferry not working it added an extra hour of driving to get to the cottage would have been nice to have been warned about the ferry
