This fantastic property is surrounded by breathtaking glens, lush countryside and a striking landscape that has featured as the backdrop for many famous films.

Styled as a traditional Scottish longhouse and located less than 1 mile from Uig, this holiday let has been designed to blend in perfectly with the dramatic landscape. North Skye is best known for incredible landmarks such as the Rha waterfalls, Castle Ewen and the Fairy Glen so there is plenty to explore less than 4 miles away. It is also home to an incredibly diverse range of wildlife, including nesting puffins from late April to July, which you can see by boat.

This property is an architectural masterpiece with high vaulted ceilings, wooden floors and fresh decor. The open-plan living space is filled with natural light from the windows, with views of the surrounding glen. The well-equipped kitchen overlooks the cosy sitting area, complete with a family-sized dining table to host your entire party. Accessed via a few steps and warmed by a charming wood burner, you'll be able to relax and unwind in utter comfort after a busy day. Climb the wooden staircase from the hallway to reach the mezzanine level overlooking the living area; a wonderful spot for admiring the countryside views. The bedrooms are located at either end of the house on both levels. On the ground floor you'll find a double bedroom with en-suite shower, a twin bedroom and the main bathroom, with windows facing the glen. The master king-size bedroom with en-suite shower and the family bedroom are upstairs on the first floor with a separate WC.

Outside, the private garden has a slate patio that is ideal for al fresco dining or drinks under the stars.

What an impressive property! The living area has a double height glass wall, the views of the countryside are breathtaking, we had eagles soaring everyday. Its 5 minutes walk to the fairy glen which is lovely to visit especially in the evening when its quieter. The approach to the cottage has a brand new road which was great. The house and setting provided a perfect contrast to our previous week in a harbour cottage in busy Portree. The open plan design lounger/kitchen, mezzanine and upstairs gallery make a great family space. We all enjoyed the fabulous and ever changing views and the garden, especially the dog. Whilst here we enjoyed the Fairy Glen, watching golden eaRead moregles soaring directly above the house, walking the Quiraing, Dunvegan Castle and Coral Beach, plus a trip to the Outer Hebrides. A lovely house and location. Very well equipped for all self catering needs for a large group. The local general store has a limited choice of items but sells all basic needs. For a larger shop Portree is only a few miles away (although we did not find the need to shop there as we had taken a great deal of foodstuffs with us).

Beautiful house in a lovely location but just disappointed with the cleanliness, mattresses, pillows and the frying pans. The house could be doing with a deep clean especially with the pandemic circulating. The mattresses, pillows and frying pans are needing replaced.
