Set upon the banks of the River Ness, this top-floor apartment is the perfect base for exploring the vibrant Highland city of Inverness. Take a walk over the suspension bridges on the river to the picturesque Ness Islands and the hidden gem of the Floral Halls. Keep your eyes open for seals and salmon swimming in the river on your stroll. Discover the myths and legends of Inverness Castle and take in the spectacular 360-degree views from the Castle Viewpoint viewing platform. Browse the independent stores in the Victorian market or splash the cash in the Eastgate Centre. For a change of scenery, head out of the city to the ancient hill fort at Craig Phadrig (1.5 miles) dating back to 300BC, stroll through the fortifications and woodlands for views across the Beauty Firth.

This split-level top-floor apartment has been designed to maximise the views across the river and city. Designed with quirky interiors and elegant style, your spacious apartment is a cosy and inviting space, perfect for romantic breaks. Step into the apartment and leave your shoes in the ‘Boot Store' by the front door, where you will find cosy slippers for you to wear if you wish, to make you feel at home during your stay. Your light and airy king-size bedroom can be found on this level, with pretty cast-iron bed dressed in crisp linens with gleaming wooden floors and stylish soft furnishings. Next, in the bedroom you will find the spacious and contemporary shower room with walk-in shower cubicle and WC. Head up the short flight of tartan-carpeted stairs to the upper level where the grandfather clock awaits to greet you in the hallway. Step into the comfortable lounge where plush sofas wait for you to curl up in them with a good book or just to watch the world go by through the large window with its stunning river view. Enjoy cosy suppers at the dining table positioned between the living room and kitchen, a clever use of the spacious hallway. A welcome pack of delicious shortbread and decanter of local whisky waits for your arrival in the kitchen, a sleek space with modern units and equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm, including an electric hob and oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. Warm welcome by Lynne, whisky and fudge, flowers and a personal postcard makes us feel like home. We loved the view from the window seat over the river Ness. At the end of the street there is a bakery for bread in the morning or just go to the kiosk along the river Ness. In Inverness there are enough restaurants and shops.
