House was beyond delightful and clearly had a lot of thought and interior design knowledge behind the decoration. And the views of the Pentland Firth were simply stunning, even on a gloomy day. The location is quiet and well placed to discover the delights of the whole area.

The Captains House is in a very beautiful coastal part of Caithness, with views towards Dunnet Head and Orkney. Day trips to Orkney leave from John o Groats which is close by. The house is not far from the Castle of Mey where Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother used to take her holidays.
