A stunning family home with sea views, on the Isle of Arran right on the beach at Lamlash Bay, with shops and pubs less than 1 mile away in the village of Lamlash.

This large family home sleeps eight, making it perfect for family gatherings or two families sharing. It is well-placed for those who want to enjoy an active break in the countryside, while still being near local facilities. There is a good choice of cafes and restaurants in Lamlash, and even more choice in Brodick, 3 miles away. Lamlash Beach, a long strip of soft sand, is a few hundred metres from the front door.

The house is light, bright and all on one level. The living room is spacious, with fantastic views out over the water, and beautiful sunsets to enjoy. It has a large bay window with a window seat, perfect for enjoying those views, and a choice of comfortable sofas for afternoons and evenings relaxing. There is an open-plan kitchen/diner, with a family dining table that's large enough for everyone to gather for meals. There's everything you'll need for holiday cooking, including an electric oven, induction hob, fridge, washing machine, microwave and dishwasher. There is a master bedroom with an en-suite, a double, a twin and a separate cot bedroom, along with a family bathroom. The final bedroom, a double with an en-suite, is in the separate annexe.

Outside, there is a large garden with lawns and mature trees and shrubs, with a path leading down to the sea. There is also an outside seating area with furniture, perfect for dining alfresco, as well as off-street parking available.

The Shieling is a fantastic house in a beautiful location, the views across the bay to Holy Isle are outstanding. The house is very comfortable and well equipped and Kirsty is a really helpful and welcoming host. We have stayed here several times and would highly recommend it.
