Head to the nearby village of Maryburgh, where you'll find both a general store and local pub with restaurant. Running through here is the River Conon, home to sea trout and salmon just ready to be fished. Families can enjoy learning about Scottish history in the local town of Dingwall, where you'll find a museum and medieval castle. Walk the rugged route of Black Water River or head south for the Glen Ord whisky distillery and Muir of Ord golf club.

Enjoy relaxing as a family in the sociably thought out open-plan living space. Find a kitchen with fridge/freezer, double electric oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher to one side of the room, whilst a lounge sits opposite. Turn on the TV/DVD or make use of the stereo whilst cooking as a group. Dine at the traditional dining table in the centre of the room, before retiring to the sofas to cosy up in front of flickering open fire. All laid out on one floor, both spacious twin and generous double can be found here on the ground floor. Find an abundance of space to store clothes in the twin room, helpful for those longer breaks. A shared family bathroom is equipped with WC and shower-over-bath.

The cottage is situated on a working farm and is surrounded by large green fields. A small patch of lawn features an outdoor dining set for enjoying morning coffee, but rest assured, children and pets will find plenty of space to run around outside the home.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Perfect location with wonderful views. We had everything we needed...although a small carton of milk in the fridge would have been welcome after a day of travelling,to make a cuppa before we headed back out in the evening ,to find the local Tesco in Dingwall. Everything we wanted to do was in easy reach. Problems with wifi resolved after a couple oRead moref quick texts It was ideal for my elderly mum...everything on one level in easy reach,and she was happy to sit outside in the morning sun and enjoy the views. Both my daughters were able to go off and walk safely in the evenings... Would definitely book again. Hide

Beautiful location and well equipped cottage. Just didn't feel it was excellent- very good though. Needed some TLC, for example the outside of the cottage needed some pruning to make it easy getting in without getting wet from hanging bushes. The garden furniture was well broken so no opportunity to enjoy late summer sun. On a working farm with theRead more owners , we thought living in the farm house, but we didn't see anyone who said hello is all ok', this we felt lacked the personal touch. Hide
