Property code: CA387

Semi-detached country cottage in the rural Scottish Highlands, with the perfect amount of space for four family members or friends. Ideally located near golf and fishing spots for experts or amateurs.

Set within a small complex of farmhouse properties, this petite cottage is cosy and compact, offering all you need in way of a Scottish holiday for four. Head to the nearby village of Maryburgh, where you'll find both a general store and local pub with restaurant. Running through here is the River Conon, home to sea trout and salmon just ready to be fished. Families can enjoy learning about Scottish history in the local town of Dingwall, where you'll find a museum and medieval castle. Walk the rugged route of Black Water River or head south for the Glen Ord whisky distillery and Muir of Ord golf club.

Enjoy relaxing as a family in the sociably thought out open-plan living space. Find a kitchen with fridge/freezer, double electric oven and hob, microwave, washer/dryer and dishwasher to one side of the room, whilst a lounge sits opposite. Turn on the TV/DVD or make use of the stereo whilst cooking as a group. Dine at the traditional dining table in the centre of the room, before retiring to the sofas to cosy up in front of the wood burner.  All laid out on one floor, both spacious twin and generous double can be found here on the ground floor. Find an abundance of space to store clothes in the twin room, helpful for those longer breaks. A shared family bathroom is equipped with WC and shower-over-bath.

The cottage is situated on a working farm and is surrounded by large green fields. A small patch of lawn features an outdoor dining set for enjoying morning coffee, but rest assured, children and pets will find plenty of space to run around outside the home.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A lovely little get-away cottage. Comfortably sleeps four people with everything you need already there for you. There were no problems during our visit and listening to the calls of the red kites in the nearby trees was lovely. As this property is accessed through a working farm, please take it easy driving up to the cottage. Watching the sheep beRead moreing herded up in the mornings by the farm workers and their dogs was a joy to watch. (Incredibly skilled). We would happily return to this place. Hide

Well equipped cottage in a rural location on a working farm. Very comfortable for a relaxing break and not far ( about 1 mile) from local shop. The views are stunning. This was a return visit.
