A spacious cottage set on the edge of the Brecon Beacons and close to the popular towns of Crickhowell and Abergavenny. Nearby to a sweet country pub, making this a great retreat any time of year.

This delightful semi-detached cottage is set in the beautiful village of Glangrwyney just off the A40, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. It is within walking distance of a traditional village pub, ideal to relax and unwind in after a day of exploration. Well placed for visits to superb Crickhowell and the historic town of Abergavenny, full of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Visit nearby galleries, museums, castles and vineyard or even take a trip on a narrow boat. Other attractions in the area include Blaenavon Iron Works, The Big Pit, stargazing at the Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre or perhaps try horse riding, golf, climbing and kayaking. You can also enjoy private fishing on the River Usk.

Enter into the handy boot room where you can kick off your shoes after taking in one of the many local walks and head through into the well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. There is also a breakfast bar that leads through to the open-plan dining room and onto a fabulous sunroom with doors out to the garden. Through an inner hallway and down one step is the cosy lounge, with comfortable sofas, Smart TV and a warming wood burner. Upstairs, on the first floor, there are two bedrooms. A very large master bedroom with four-poster king-size bed with an en-suite shower room and WC and a good-sized twin bedroom. There is also a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Outside there are lovely gardens with a patio area and a small stream running through, and lawn space beyond. Children should be supervised at all times in the grounds due to the open stream and nearby road. There is off-road parking for four cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Gorgeous, well-equipped, large cottage. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Weve stayed in a lot of cottages in this part of Wales and this was up there with the best. The nearest shop is 30-40 minutes walk. The pub next door wasnt open during our stay but theres a couple of nice places to eat and drink in Crickhowell and more in Abergavenny - Read moreboth of which are a short drive away. Hide

We had a lovely weeks break with our friends and dog. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Beautiful area. Pub within walking distance at Llangenny (Dragons Head) where we had some nice food. Wed also recommend the Jolly Colliers in Abergavenny if you like Spanish tapas. Lovely house, perfect for a holiday in the Black Mountains/Brecon Beacons area. Very well equipped and very spacious, close to both Crickhowell and Abergavenny. Large rooms, well equipped kitchen and a lovely little garden with a stream running through it. We had a wonderful stay at Swn-Y-Nant. The house is very comfortable and had everything we needed for a week away with our two young kids. The ground floor is very open and bright, a great space for the family to gather. The back garden is ideal for relaxing in the evenings. The beds are super comfy. Comfy and well equipped accommodation which is well located for lovely walks at low level and some high mountains within easy reach . Crickhowell and Abergavenny also nearby which were good for shopping.

We had a fab week away with our dog. Pat and Roger could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Very spacious property with a well equipped kitchen. Lounge was comfy and the woodburner made it toasty. Bedrooms very spacious too. The pub next door was only open for a couple of days and to be honest I would give it a miss. Can 100% recommend The BRead moreear in Crickhowell for food. The property made a great base for all of the walking we did. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Hide

This cottage is wonderful, cosy, well equipped, beautiful garden and owners who went the extra mike to make sure all was perfect. You cant fail to have a wonderful time at this cottage.

We fell in love with Swn Y Nant ( sound of the stream ) the minute we walked in. We were welcomed wth a bottle of Prosecco , welsh cakes , 6 eggs and a pint of milk and plenty of tea coffee and.
