A magical off-grid eco retreat in the heart of the Kent countryside, complete with sublime natural surroundings, bird filled gardens, breath-taking views, and countryside walks right from the door.

Located on the outskirts of the charming Kent village of Woodchurch, this holiday cottage is within easy reach of the local village stores and popular pub. The pretty market town of Tenterden is close by, as is the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which boasts an abundance of beautiful walks and scenery. This is a fantastic base from which to explore the many local historic houses, gardens and vineyards as well as the Kent and East Sussex coastline, with the soft golden sand of Camber only 10 miles away. Children and adults alike will also enjoy a visit to the nearby Rare Breeds Centre where they can see farm animals up close and enjoy a tractor ride.

Enter the cottage through the front door where there is space for leaving coats and outdoor footwear. The door opens into the light and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with original oak beam features. The lounge area has two comfy sofas and armchairs surrounding the TV/DVD. The well-equipped kitchen area has all the equipment you would expect for creating great family meals, including a gas oven and hob, fridge, freezer and microwave. Whip up a delicious meal and then enjoy relaxed family mealtimes at the dining table with seating for six. There are two bedrooms leading off either end of the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The master bedroom has a super-king zip-and-link bed (which can be made into a twin on request) and an en-suite wet room with shower and WC. There is the option for one additional single pull out bed that can be made available for children in this room, and a sofa bed in the lounge area, to be requested when booking. The second bedroom a has king-size bed and an en-suite shower and WC. The property is completed with a utility cupboard in the hallway that houses the washing machine and there is also a separate WC off the hallway.

Outside there is a large patio area with furniture and a charcoal BBQ for al fresco dining in the beautiful countryside on long Summer evenings. There is private parking for three cars.

  • Property access is down a rough farm road
  • Hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes will be available in the property for extra cleanliness.

A very nice cottage, clean and comfortable. Ideal for peace and quiet and going for country walks. No wi-fi, so ideal for getting away from it all.

This is a lovely holiday home in a beautiful and very quiet location. It is an excellent base for heading out in different directions to the local attractions. For the more eco-conscious customer this property is self-sufficient power and water wise
