Cosy cottage with creature comforts, hot tub and garden in Whittington, where you can walk to the pub, shop and 12th century castle. A perfect location to relax, enjoy culture and explore Shropshire.

Whatever your interest, it’s all on offer here, whether it’s good food, boutique shopping, castles, country houses and gardens, steam trains, horse drawn canal trips, theatre, music events or just relaxing. Amble around the village, pop to Oswestry just a short drive, follow the town trail, discover its history and enjoy culinary delights in the cafes, bars and restaurants. There’s a unique range of shops, the farmers market and its well-preserved hilltop Iron Age fort, great for walking and to enjoy marvellous views. Take one of the many footpaths and cycling trails including the National Trail, Offa’s Dyke and Tanat Valley or visit Chirk, Llangollen, Ellesmere, Shrewsbury, Chester or Welshpool. There’s so much to see and do close by all year round.

Step into this lovely cottage full of charm and interesting features. As you enter through the back door into the creatively planned kitchen/diner flooded with natural light you will find all the equipment you need to rustle up a meal. The kitchen area is well-equipped with all the thoughtful little extras alongside the electric range oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The dining table is perfectly positioned the window to gather round for a meal and plan your holiday activities. After dinner relax in the lounge on the comfy sofas, listen to music or watch a film on the Smart TV or lose yourself if a good book by the glow of the feature wood burner effect gas fire. Upstairs on the first floor, you have two bedrooms to choose from, both have been designed for a good night’s sleep. Take the sumptuous king-size with TV/DVD or the spacious single. To compliment the accommodation is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Outside there is an enclosed garden by the back door with table and chairs, perfect to enjoy a morning coffee, or walk through to the secret enclosed garden to relax amongst the trees, enjoy al fresco dining and unwind in the hot tub. There is private off-road parking for one car at the property, and if you are bringing you bike you can use the lockable shed.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This is an amazing wee find for our honeymoon. Cozy, warm, hot tub...even a slow cooker for warming meal after a cold day out exploring. Nice local pub with food (the boot).

Fabulous cottage in great location. Very comfortable and clean. The owners provided milk and a couple of treats for our arrival, there was also information about the cottage and local area provided. The village has a couple of pubs, one only at the end of the road with good food and lovely staff. There is a lovely hidden garden with a hot tub for rRead moreelaxation. We didnt want to leave. Pretty cottage, well furnished, clean and comfortable, a comfy bed, good quality towels and a well stocked kitchen (including a slow cooker). A great cottage in an ideal location for exploring nearby areas. Very clean and good information provided too. Well equipped and comfortable too. The hot tub is perfect and works very well, just relax in the garden whilst waiting for the water to heat.

Cottage was very clean and had all we needed for a lovely holiday with a teenager and the dog. We needed the heating a couple of evenings as the weather changed which was fine. The area is great and wecfrlt home from home here. Quiet and cosy .

A great find, the cottage is well presented and equipment is well thought out especially related to the hot tub with towels and plastic glasses to use whilst in it. The hot tub does only take 3 hours to heat if you read and follow the instructions. The lovely welcome pack was a kind gesture and much appreciated after the journey. The cottage is lovely and located in a very good area for visiting surrounding sites. The owners are very welcoming and happy to help at all times. The hot tub requires about 3 hours to fully heat up, but is worth persevering with.

Lovely comfortable cottage with everything you might need during a stay, even down to the hot tub towels, games and walking guide books. Lots of storage space and beds were incredibly comfy.
