Part of a complex of 4 superb properties, this tastefully designed barn conversion is found in 140 acres of open farm with countryside views.

If you’re looking for a base from which to tour the whole of Cornwall and Devon from, this is the place. You will be less than three miles from the national road network that can connect you to a very wide choice of attractions. Explore the north and south coast beaches, the Eden Project, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Or you could visit the interesting coastal city of Plymouth, home of the best shopping experience in the west, or Boscastle, home of the Occult Museum, a unique afternoon out. The ancient former Cornish capital of Launceston is a short drive away and offers a range of shops and pubs as well as a castle to conquer. Within a couple of miles are various sites for some good coarse and river fishing.
On entering this charming single-level detached barn conversion, you will find yourself in the cosy and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, which benefits from underfloor heating. The charming and inviting lounge is ideal for relaxing, with TV/DVD. Moving over to the elegant and stylish kitchen, you will find everything you might need during your stay including electric oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge with small freezer compartment and microwave. The attractive dining area is ideally situated and perfect whether you’re enjoying a big meal or grabbing a snack. Exploring the property further you will find a comfy king-size bedroom with en-suite wet room and WC.
Stepping outside you can unwind in the patio and private lawn area with garden furniture and gas BBQ. There’s also a large garden area shared with the other properties, and a play area for kids where they can have fun on the trampoline. A shared utility room is on-site which has washing machines, tumble driers and fridge/freezer. There is also ample off-road parking available.

We have just enjoyed a lovely stay at Longhorn Barn . Lovely, very clean and well equipped for our week in Cornwall, and an extremely comfortable bed . The enclosed private garden was great for our dogs .Lisa the owner is lovely and welcoming as always. Had a lovely stay again at this well equiped converted farm complex. The Long horn barn is very homely and is a well equiped barn conversion, lovely oak furniture with plenty of space and well set out, the bathroom and shower is the best, just wish we could take it home with us. There is a friendly grey tabby cat called Holly who will insist that yRead moreou make a fuss of her but be warned she doesn't like being evicted at bed time and makes her displeasure known . We have just returned from a brilliant stay at long horn barn. It is kept to a really high standard, and has everything you could possibly need from kitchen to cleaning equipment. The barn was spotlessly clean, with beautiful views, great for dogs we enjoyed walking the fields down to the river each morning. Another brilliant holiday at Goodmansleigh. We've not stayed in Long Horn before, but it's up to the same high quality as Highland. There's everything you could need, from kitchenware to cleaning supplies to entertainment, with both a tv and radio. Covid measures were very good and easy to follow. Owner as helpful as always. Excellent property in a great location for exploring the Tamar Valley and further afield. Very comfortable and clean throughout - the rain shower was a particular luxury! Host was extremely friendly and helpful and we were spoilt with fresh scones on arrival. Will look forward to staying again in the future.

This is our second stay at Longhorn Barn, as per last time it was immaculately turned out even with current restrictions on what's allowed due to CV19, all this was covered in the handbook supplied in the barn. We arrived later than anticipated no thanks to horrendous traffic and found the barn lovely and warm and lit up to guide us in. Two lovely Read morescones and necessary accompaniments greeted us along with tea and coffee, these were most welcomed! Definitely a 5-star stay :) Hide

Great host - was in a small new barn conversion development just outside town but a great base to tour Devon n Cornwall - cottage has all the utensils you would need regardless of what you wanted to cook - safe for kids although we didnt have any to take (grown up) - no freezer in the fridge but a full freezer in laundry room literally next door - Read moregreat private garden with bbq but central area fir kids to play if they wanted but mostly tired after a day out - farm shop 2 miles away - recommend Hide

A lovely converted barn well located to tour the Cornwall/Devon border area. Ideal for dog owners as the garden is totally secure. Based on a large working farm, allowing lovely walks around the farm.

The cottage is very spacious and is very well finished to a high standard with wooden floors and under floor heating in all rooms making it very comfortable. The kitchen is large and well equipped meaning cooking was not a chore. The location is set in a farm and is lovely and quiet, away from main roads and traffic with a short trip necessary. A lovely place to stay. Just a few minutes drive to the town and easy access to the A30 where you can head off for days out. Weather could have been better but it was the end of October, but it didn't spoil our stay. It was nice to come back and relax after a day out. Cream tea was waiting for us on arrival which was very welcomed. Easy parking at Read morerear of property and you have your own enclosed garden with gorgeous views.
