The quintessential English village of Godshill, within a short walk of the cottage, boasts some of the oldest architecture on the island and is known for being the site of the first Isle of Wight festival back in 1968. Godshill is also home to popular pubs, restaurants, cafes (including a vegan one!) and tea rooms for those memorable meals out. There is something for everyone at Godshill Park Farm where you can meet the farm animals, enjoy a horsedrawn carriage drive or fish the lake.
Upon coming into the entrance porch you instantly feel welcome in this cottage. The characterful well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher and features a historical fireplace with exposed brickwork which contrasts well with the modern kitchen. Round the corner is the breakfast bar area which leads into the cosy lounge being a fantastic space to snuggle in front of the wood burner whilst watching your favourite film on the TV/DVD. Through the french windows you enter the conservatory which benefits from a dining table to seat you all in a lovely setting where you can relax and look out onto the orchard. The ground floor twin bedroom and shower room with shower and WC are found at the back of the house. The utility room adjacent to the shower room is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer and gives access to the enclosed rear garden. Head up to the first floor where you will find the other two double bedrooms with views over the surrounding farmland. The upstairs bathroom with corner bath and WC completes the accommodation.
The lawned back garden borders the wonderful Isle of Wight countryside. An outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining is the ideal setting for a family holiday.
