Comfortable country cottage a short walk from the pretty village of Godshill where you will find a fabulous collection of traditional tearooms and an interesting range of independent shops.

The detached property is located within the grounds of Godshill Park Farm, which offers a range of activities from walking with llamas and alpacas to fishing the farms pond stocked with carp, roach and tench. This is an ideal place to stay if you enjoy cycling and walking as it benefits from direct access to the renowned Stenbury and Worsley trails. The quintessential English village of Godshill, within a short walk of the cottage, boasts some of the oldest architecture on the island and is known for being the site of the first Isle of Wight festival back in 1968. Godshill is also home to popular pubs, restaurants, cafes (including a vegan one!) and tea rooms for those memorable meals out. There is something for everyone at Godshill Park Farm where you can meet the farm animals, enjoy a horsedrawn carriage drive or fish the lake.

Upon coming into the entrance porch you instantly feel welcome in this cottage. The stylish well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and a dishwasher can be found just beyond the entrance porch and features a historical fireplace with exposed brickwork which contrasts well with the modern kitchen. Round the corner is the breakfast bar area which leads into the cosy lounge being a fantastic space to snuggle in front of the wood burner whilst watching your favourite film on the TV/DVD. Through the french windows you enter the conservatory which benefits from a dining table to seat you all in a lovely setting where you can relax and look out onto the orchard. The ground floor twin bedroom and shower room with shower and WC are found at the back of the house. The utility room adjacent to the shower room gives access to the enclosed rear garden. Head up to the first floor where you will find the other two double bedrooms with views over the surrounding farmland. The upstairs bathroom with bath and WC completes the accommodation.

The lawned back garden borders the wonderful Isle of Wight countryside. An outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining is the ideal setting for a family holiday. With the added benefit of a front garden you are truly spoiled and surrounded by nature here at Godshill Park Farm. The driveway can accommodate up to two vehicles parking at the side of the cottage.

We stayed at Hazel Cottage for a long weekend, it is a well equipped, spacious cottage, immaculately clean. It was the perfect place to bring our dog, and if you love animals you can walk around the grounds and see the animals, both local pubs in the village were very accommodating, even though they had some teething problems due to only just reopeRead morening after lockdown they kept in touch and let us know about any menu changes etc. We hope to return with better weather ! The house was lovely and in a great location. Set on a working farm - mainly llamas. Mark and Kathy are a fantastic couple of hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We will happily go there again. A lovely experience Dave
