Historic Chester boasts fabulous shopping, culinary delights around every corner, cultural events to attend and attractions. Walk the old city walls, visit the Roman amphitheatre and impressive cathedral, explore the Tudor Rows and galleries, whilst the Storyhouse hosts a cinema and theatre. The property is central, with easy access to the town centre and world-renowned Chester Zoo. Stroll beside the River Dee and Grosvenor Park, or take a boat trip along the River Dee. Head to National Trust houses and gardens or North Wales’ mountains and coastline or visit the quaint towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy Chester racecourse and golf courses nearby. Liverpool and Manchester are also within easy reach.

On entering the property, approached by either two steps from the driveway or ramp access, you will be amazed by the large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with polished marble floor and patio doors out to the enclosed rear garden, perfect for socialising or just relaxing after a day of exploration. Prepare a meal in the well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, combi microwave oven and dishwasher, and a handy utility room with washer/dryer and additional dishwasher. The dining area is positioned in the centre of the room, ideal for celebrating a special occasion. The outdoor area is equally as impressive as you head into the extensive enclosed rear garden with garden furniture and charcoal BBQ. To the front of the property there is ramp access into the property and also private off-road parking for five cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We were a party of 4 couples staying at Solway. The house was perfect and very comfortable and well equipped . The house was clean and immaculately presented and the swimming pool was a wonderful bonus. The owners are lovely and so helpful and I would highly recommend this property if you are planning a visit to Chester.

Great holiday, lovely owners, well equipped property and amazing swimming pool - which is a great size, warm and comfortable. Massive garden, although we mainly just used the seating area. Would stay again - our kids absolutely loved the pool and would have stayed in it all day!

Lovely well appointed property a short drive from the city centre. Large enclosed garden but the jewel in the crown is the pool.... Kept me and all of the children entertained for hours! We will be back.

Solway is a beautiful property in a great location. It is spacious and comfortable with a fabulous swimming pool and amazing garden. The owners are lovely and very accommodating. Solway is a beautiful house with a lovely big pool. The ideal location to stay whilst the pandemic is going on. Lots of space both inside and out.

We had a fabulous time at Solway. The house well maintained and family-friendly. The pool was an added bouns and used every day by my granddaughter who found her swimming fins in the safe environment. the location is perfect for Chester Zoo and historic city is a great place to visit.

Met the owners on arrival who were very informative and explained how everything operated from the TV to the Swimming Pool. Chocolates and a bottle of wine was greatly appreciated on arrival. An information booklet was left with emergency contact and also again how to operate utilities.
