The picturesque villages and towns of Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are all within easy reach and boast a tempting selection of cafes, restaurants independent shops and galleries. Other nearby attractions include Tetbury, Cheltenham, Oxford and The Cotswold Wildlife Park. The nearby RAF Brize Norton base offers a unique experience for anyone interested in planes with an annual Air Tattoo show.

Drive into the countryside and across the cornfields where you will arrive at the barn, set within acres of farmland, the barn is off-grid taking its energy from a generator and wind turbine. Step inside where you will be pleasantly surprised by the eclectic style that the owner has taken time to create. The entrance hall has ample space for coats and boots and wiping off muddy paws, offering access to a utility room with a shower room with shower and WC. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is nice and spacious with the dining area set within the heart of the barn conversion and enjoys views across the farmland. The open lounge enjoys the warmth of a wood burner along with a TV. The kitchen, finished with bespoke cabinets and granite work tops is well-equipped with electric range oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. For relaxing and enjoying a good book why not put your feet up in the snug, a room designed for book worms, with bookcases brimming with good reads and a TV. When the day is done climb the wooden stairs up to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms. A king-size room with exposed beams and en-suite bathroom with claw foot bath and WC, and another king-size room with exposed beams and countryside views, plus an additional day bed suitable for a child. Be aware that the property is in the middle of a field and a car is essential for access. Once there it is actually only a short walk to a couple of the neighbouring villages where there are pubs.

Highly recommend this cottage! Had a lovely stay here. The property is clean, cosy and feels just like home. The decor is fab and feels like there are a lot of memories. There are great walks right from the doorstep, we walked to a lovely dog friendly pub in the village of Alvescot which had great food. Will definitely be returning here :)

A wonderful barn conversion to a holiday home. Full of quirky items. Located in an exceptionally peaceful area, surrounded by fields 360 degrees. Great to watch the odd aircraft from RAF Brize Norton which did not bother us. Great for families especially with dogs. Excellent for walking not just in the area but from the front door. Good pub with grRead moreeat food, the Plough Inn in Alvescot, to walk to which is also dog friendly, approximately 20 minutes away. Hide

A wonderful property, located all alone in the middle of a large corn field. Deer and hares first thing in the morning absolutely ideally situated. A car is an absolute must, although you can walk along a bridal path to a local village and pub, no shop, takes about 25 mins. The dog loved the freedom and the walks were superb. Easily one of the best holiday homes we had in the past 10 years. Very remote to completely switch off from an hectic life. Outstanding cleanliness and comfort in the house, has everything needed to feel at home from the start.
