There are numerous walks from the doorstep that lead into the scenic Peak District National Park and tranquil Carsington Water, with lots of activities such as cycling and water sports on offer. For a family day out, Alton Towers, Matlock Farm Park, Chatsworth House and Kedleston Hall are all a short drive away, as are pretty towns and villages such as Matlock Bath, Ashbourne, Bakewell and Buxton, all of which boast an array of shops and restaurants.
Stepping through the porch, where you can leave behind you coats and boots, the cottage welcomes you into the kitchen/diner with a traditional stone floor and low ceilings, enhancing the cottage character which is contrasted alongside the sleek and stylish kitchen. With everything you need to rustle up a lovely meal such as electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Take lazy breakfasts at the nearby dining table whilst planning the day’s activity. Moving into the cosy lounge, this is the perfect place to put your feet up and relax, the sofa is so comfy it’s hard to leave and with the wood burner lit, you can pop something on the Smart TV and unwind. Heading upstairs to the first floor, the cottage offers two bedrooms, a double bedroom with lovely furnishings that complement the room perfectly and the nearby twin bedroom which is bright and airy with pretty fabrics. The shower room offers a shower and WC.
Heading outside into the enclosed courtyard you will find an inviting hot tub and rattan furniture, perfect for long evenings chilling out with good company. There is a small bistro table and chairs to the front of the cottage situated in an ideal spot to watch the world go by with nearby roadside parking, subject to availability. There it also access to a utility room in the out-house with washing machine and tumble dryer.
