Great location for exploring Forest of Dean, comfortable beds, great shower. Only downside if self catering: fridge small and dining area a bit cramped. However if weather good you can eat outside in courtyard area. Overall a great property and would stay again.

Very friendly and thoughtful hosts, super spotless and well equipped accommodation, we could not fault it, a real home from home. Lovely, peaceful and quiet location, although visitor attractions and forest walks not far. The local pub is only a short walk away, which is a bonus! We had a truly wonderful and relaxing few days away to 'recharge our Read morebatteries' and will certainly be going back again and recommending to friends and family. Hide

The cottage was exactly as advertised, with everything we needed except soap, which we had taken. It is in the Forest of Dean with lots of minor and/or very minor roads and that was an attraction for us. The whole experience was really great. We were very pleased with the owners (who were there if needed but otherwise left us alone to enjoy our holRead moreiday), the property and the agents booking service. Absolutely no complaints, just lots of praise from a very happy elderly couple. Hide

A wonderful stay at Boxbush Farm. All the places we wanted to visit were with a 10 min drive with many walking trails just down the road at Symonds Yat. The cottage is very clean and well looked after. Perfect for our 2 and 5 year olds. The outside area looks like it's been updated so the pictures don't do it justice. It has an enclosed patio with Read moreseating and gets the sun in the afternoons. Great for the kids to run around in without worrying about them getting loose! Would recommend xx Hide

As always, for a walking holiday with a dog the weather makes such a difference and ours was fantastic for the time of year. That said, the icing on the cake was to receive such a warm welcome from the owners, Alex and Val. and given the current Covid circumstances, to find the cottage so clean, and of course so perfectly situated in the heart of tRead morehe region of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean combined. A well appointed cottage ideally situated in the Forest of Dean area. Easy walking distance to Symonds Yat Rock. There were 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 children and it was just what we needed. I would love to return again in the future. The owners who lived next door left us to our own devices and were friendly and helpful when we spoke to them.
