This stylish annex offers spacious accommodation in a charming village location within easy reach of the New Forest National Park and local amenities including a popular café, shop and pub.

Set in the heart of the attractive village of Downton, this contemporary annexe is adjacent to the owners’ home yet offers a good degree of privacy. Located on the border between Wiltshire and Hampshire, it is ideally placed for those wishing to take in the rich local history that this area is known for, with sites such as Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Avebury and Beaulieu all within reach. The New Forest National Park is easily accessible and offers miles of picturesque walking and riding routes, taking in many popular villages along the way. The village itself offers a choice of local conveniences or for those seeking an afternoon of retail therapy, Salisbury and Southampton are easily accessible by car.

From the parking area you will find the main entrance into this detached property. Once inside you are met with a welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a comfortable lounge area immediately to your right. This inviting space has a TV, so you can curl up on the sofa and watch your favourite shows. A dining area is adjacent, perfect for leisurely meals together. At the rear of the property is the well-equipped kitchen space with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. A separate WC can be found leading on from here and an inner hallway, ideal for storing muddy boots. A winding staircase leads to the first floor and a charming double bedroom with distant countryside views and a contemporary en-suite shower room with WC. Due to its setting within the eaves, there are some areas of restricted head height in the bedroom and shower room, which only add to its charm.

Heading outside you will find an enclosed lawn area to the side of the property with garden furniture, the ideal spot for relaxing after a day spent exploring. To the front of the annex is a parking area, which will accommodate one car.

Fabulous cottage, cleanest we've ever been to! Quiet and safe location and very private. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Perfect retreat for two, very comfortable. Gated property so car is very safely "off road". Downton is a pretty village close to Salisbury for shopping (Tesco is nearest) and close to the New Forest. Useful convenienceRead more store within walking distance. We really recommend the Bat & Ball pub (5 minute drive at Braemore) Great food & service. Can't wait to go back! Hide

Lovely clean property, simply but well done with good quality fixtures and fittings. Downtown is a lovely village and wed recommend both The Goat and The Wooden Spoon if you dont fancy cooking.

We had a lovely week spent in Little Borough. The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The owner were very friendly and helpful. The location of the property was excellent - off the main road so very quiet but within walking distance of the local shops and pubs. Highly recommend.
