This property nestles in an elevated position with magnificent views across Loch Etive in the pretty village of Taynuilt. The village boasts great amenities that include a train station (trains to Oban and Glasgow), a renowned butcher’s shop, post office, general stores (open late) and tearooms. Nearby, you can enjoy a fascinating tour around Ben Cruachan, the famous hollow mountain, visit the smokery or the historic Bonawe ironworks museum. The seaside town of Oban is close at hand with its excellent leisure and shopping facilities. Enjoy boat trips to the beautiful islands of Mull, Staffa, Iona and the Treshnish Isles. The immediate area is a paradise for water sports enthusiast, mountain bikers, Munro baggers and walkers, with nearby glens, mountain ranges and coastal paths to explore. Entering this wonderful detached Victorian house with its array of beautiful, characterful period features and magnificent Loch Etive and Glen views through the side door, you go into the vestibule complete with plenty of coat hooks, and turn right into the beautiful dining room with ample seating to enjoy family meals together. Off the dining room there is a utility/drying room with washing machine, fridge and freezer, and with plenty of hanging space for wet clothes, it is the perfect place to store your outdoor clothing. Retracing back to the vestibule, there is a handy separate WC. Turning left, you enter the main hall through a door with the well-equipped kitchen/diner, the perfect place to cook up a storm with electric range oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Leading off from the hall is a delightful and comfortable Sitting room with a lovely wood burner, TV and Bluetooth speaker, the ideal place to relax and enjoy a great movie together. Located opposite the sitting room is a second lovely sitting room with comfortable seating, a great space to relax with lovely views and unwind perhaps with a good book or enjoy a great board game together.

Heading up the stairs to the first floor you will find four individually decorated bedrooms. Two king-size bedrooms and two twins, all with ample storage space. There is also a spacious bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower and WC, a further additional bathroom with bath and WC, and finally, completing the accommodation is the shower room with shower and WC.

Venturing outside to the wonderful landscaped beautiful mature gardens, enjoying spectacular views over Loch Etive and the surrounding magnificent glens, this is the perfect place to enjoy al fresco dining and lazy evening stargazing. Admire and take in the spectacular views in this beautiful area. There are paths amongst the mature trees and bushes in the garden, and even your own little spring with small stream. There is ample off-road parking available next to the property and handy secure bike storage available.

We stayed as family of 5 . Lovely old house in superb location just outside village. Gardens are lovely but a bit wild. House very well equipped and nice and warm in an unseasonably cool August!

Amazing place, well kitted out and we enjoyed the views. It was easy to get out and about with plenty of places to visit and Ferry trips from Oban were straightforward.

Stunning location and very good as a base for touring around the west coast and the islands. Oban within easy reach which is great for ferries. Lovely walks all around. The gate is a bit tight so beware if you have a large car ! Taynuilt itself is a nice village. The Butchers is first class. Try their haggis ! Good grocers as well. We had a lovely Read moreweek there. Hide

A lovely large house thats full of charecter and the big bonus with this house are the stunning views across the loch to the mountains in the distance - lie in bed early in the morning and watch the mists wrap around the hills! Warm, comfortable and with a large kitchen that is perfect for families. If you're a gardening enthusiast then it is a treRead moreat to wander around and through the rhododendrons and azaleas, particularly in May when Scotland is lit up with flowers. Had a really nice stay at Springbanks. The house is large airy and in great shape. There are wonderful views across the loch. Under an hour from Glencoe , 15 minutes from Oban, with a train station within walking distance.
