Beautiful, spacious property with access to riverside walks and fishing. Situated in the rural location of Biddisham, 2 miles from the A38 and at the end of a country lane in the heart of Somerset countryside.

The historic towns and cities of Axbridge, Cheddar, Glastonbury, Taunton, Bath and Bristol are within good access by car or rail. The seaside towns of Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare are easily accessible by car. The western edge of the Mendip Hills, known locally as Crooks Peak, rises to the east of the cottage, with the river at its base. In the far distance, the modern imposition of the M5 motorway weaves across the landscape, bringing together the benefits of the 21st century within an otherwise hidden retreat. You will be ideally situated for a range of activities: horse riding, cycling, walking and golf are all nearby.

You are welcomed into the delightful accommodation through the front door where you will be greeted by the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Turn right and enter the lounge/dining area where you can enjoy river views through the dual aspect windows with French doors opening onto the patio. Within the lounge area, you can relax on the comfy furniture while watching your favourite programme on the TV, or maybe enjoy a DVD. Head back through the hall and into the spacious kitchen with feature windows that frame the view perfectly. The well-equipped kitchen has two electric ovens, an electric hob set in the large island, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher, perfect for trying out new recipes or old family favourites. Leading from the kitchen is a conservatory - the perfect room to enjoy breakfast in. There are two comfortable bedrooms. The first bedroom is located on the ground floor with an en-suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom is upstairs: a super-king-size which has a TV and en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath and WC - you can also enjoy river and countryside views from this bedroom and the balcony.

Venturing outside from the front door or French doors, you will find yourself on a sunny patio with seating and then into the enclosed garden which leads to the riverbank where you will have a lawn area and private fishing jetty. It is the perfect spot to take in the countryside views with your morning coffee, or a spot of al fresco dining. There really is plenty of room for dogs to play, but please note: the garden is not enclosed from the riverbank. Seasonal fishing is available by arrangement. Immediately to the side of the cottage is off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
