This characterful former hotel is set on the outskirts of the quaint village of Northam. The South West Coast Path and Tarka Trail are within easy access and are traffic-free, providing the opportunity to explore North Devon by foot or bicycle. For a traditional seaside day out, visit the Victorian village of Westward Ho!. Complete with amusements, famous golf course and a beach hut lined promenade alongside two miles of golden sandy beach, this village oozes traditional British seaside charm. There are plenty of opportunities to keep the kids entertained with days out including The Milky Way, The Big Sheep and RHS Rosemoor Gardens. For those who want to keep fit whilst on holiday, sailing can be found at the picturesque villages of Appledore and Instow whilst Woolacombe and Croyde are renowned for being a surfers’ paradise and Exmoor National Park caters for keen walkers.

On arrival at this grand property, take in the beautiful views before making your way through the front door. The main lounge is to the left and offers comfortable seating with wood burning fire alongside a bar area offering a relaxing space to unwind after exploring the local area. The dining area is to the right and caters for those important family meals and more formal dinners, it also has a sound system for some enjoyable background sounds. With a well-equipped kitchen, delicious dishes are certainly on the menu. The kitchen is complete with two Range electric oven and gas hobs, two fridge/freezers, two dishwashers, microwave, coffee machine and a breakfast bar. Off the kitchen is utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a separate WC on the ground floor. The grand staircase winds its way up to the first floor where you can find ten bedrooms all with TV’s as follows, Twin room with river views and en-suite shower room and WC, Super-king with balcony and en-suite with shower over bath and WC, Double room with river views and en-suite with shower over bath and WC, Double four poster bed with river views and en-suite with shower over bacth and WC, King-size with en-suite shower room and WC, King-size with balcony and river views, en-suite and shower over bath and WC, Double with en-suite shower room and WC, Super-King zip-and-link (can be made as twin upon request) with en-suite shower room and WC. Moving to the second floor you shall find the last two bedrooms to complete the accommodation of a twin with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC and finally a further Super-King zip-and-link (can be made in to a twin upon request) with balcony and en-suite shower over bath and WC.

The views from the garden are magnificent and a fantastic place to while away a lazy summer afternoon with a good book or garden games with the family. There is access to the river so a fishing net is essential when packing.

We absolutely loved the house, it was extremely well equipped, lots of space for our group of 20 friends. So thoughtful to put up tasteful Christmas Decs. Welcome hamper. Really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend it.

Absolutely stunning venue very clean and tidy with lovely views of the estuary. Every bedroom had its own en suite and again were immaculate clean. We were amazed with the whole venue from the big kitchen to the snug area everything was well thought out. Thanks for some great memories.

A wonderful and well-kept house that is very suitable for holidays, family celebrations and events. The views of the garden and river are beautiful and the surrounding area offers many possibilities for a week's holiday. All our guests were delighted.

We had a really lovely time staying in Yeoldon House as a large and multigenerational family group. The photos dont do it justice and it really is a lovely property which has been beautifully done up. The grounds are lovely and the view is quite stunning. House was truly fabulous. Wonderful location and easy to walk to Bideford and Appledore from the house. Clean and very well equipped. Plenty of room for everyone. Stunning garden and it was lovely feeding the fish. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay here for my husbands 50th Birthday. Lots of space for everyone and it's in a great location. Generally well equipped and comfortable. The pod in the garden is great for a morning cuppa and an evening glass of fizz. We didnt use the hot tub as it's a bit too out in the open for colder months. We had the most fabulous time at Yeoldon House for a family get together / party for my partners 50th birthday and new year. The house is stunning with gorgeous views over the River Torridge, the living areas are spacious with a choice of places to sit and chat, the kitchen had everything we needed (and more!), kids and adults loved the pool table Read moreand the ensuite bedrooms kept everyone happy. Spectacular old house with breathtaking views. We had a couple of issues during our stay, but they were quickly addressed when I reported them to the owner. Overall, I was very happy with the stay. Perfect for a large gathering of friends for a birthday.

Beautiful location with stunning views. Large, comfortable house with good sized bedrooms, all ensuite. Well equipped kitchen. We were there for a family reunion and it was a great venue for adults and children. The pool table was well used! Close to Westward Ho beach and other local spots like Appledore and Instow. A lovely time had by all !

Yeldon house is an incredible property with a significant view.The house and rooms are very clean and equipped and the garden is beautifully designed. I highly recommend it to any big groups and Im sure you will enjoy every minute of your stay.

This is a great house for a big family group. Plenty of communal space for all ages to follow their own interests. The kitchen was ideal for groups to share in the cooking and for all to eat together. It has a wonderful view of the river, and is close to the beach with surfing and sailing activities.

A brilliant venue - beautiful/well-kept grounds with a wonderful view of the river. Lots of room in the house, well equipped, attractive features and decoration with ample facilities for 20 people. Loved hearing curlews, seeing wildlife and feeding the fish too. We didnt want to leave. Great for people with dogs.

An excellent house for a large group with a fantastic view. I stayed at the house in January and found it to be warm and welcoming. All bedrooms are large and ensuite so easily allocated to my guests. The beds were comfortable and well heated. The kitchen is superbly kitted out with nearly two of everything.
