Charming traditional thatched cottage set within a pretty rural hamlet. Ideally placed for trips to the coast, touring the rolling Dorset countryside or planning walks on the South West Coast Path

The peaceful hamlet of Coombe Keynes is made up of a number of traditional Dorset properties and nestles within picturesque countryside, making it the ideal base for walking and cycling. For those wishing to tour there are many attractions in the local area to be explored. Head 3 and half miles south to the much photographed Lulworth Cove and for a dose of history head to Lulworth Castle en route. The nearby village of Wool has a good choice of amenities or for a wider selection explore the walled town of Wareham, before taking a boat trip down the river or trying your hand at kayaking. A pathway leads from the roadside to the entrance into this end of terrace single cottage.

Step into the inviting lounge, which has a striking inglenook fireplace complete with wood burner and a TV. There is space to dine just opposite and to the rear of the property you will find the contemporary galley kitchen. With all the conveniences of contemporary living, this space has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. Leading on from here is the bathroom, which has a shower over bath and WC. Heading back into the lounge and up the very steep and winding cottage style stairs brings you to the two bedrooms, one a cosy single and the other a charming double. Due to the age of the property there are areas of restricted head height, low beams and uneven floors throughout, which only adds to its character and charm.

Heading outside from the kitchen you will find a garden, mostly laid to lawn, with a terrace immediately to the rear of the property. Here you can enjoy a drink or meal at the table and chairs. To the rear of the cottage are two off-road parking spaces.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
