Situated next to the owners home yet tucked away with plenty of privacy this is a lovely little bolt hole is designed with couples in mind wanting a relaxing break with plenty of things to do on the doorstep.

Nearby Tansley village is nestled on the edge of the Peak District next to the market town of Matlock. Nearby Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Matlock Bath, all easily accessible by car. There are lovely country walks from the property, the ideal base for those who enjoy the outdoors and plenty of off-road cycling tracks for those who like exploring on two wheels. Matlock has a variety of shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, pubs, weekly market and parks. Matlock Bath is a well-known resort on the River Derwent, visit popular Heights of Abraham cable cars, enjoy fish and chips, and numerous entertainments throughout the year. The Matlock Bath illuminations and firework display are especially popular in autumn bringing in the crowds and lighting up the sky.

Enter into the impressive glass reception area, take a seat to remove your boots and hang your coats and wander into the open-plan living space. You will notice high ceilings which gives a spacious feel. Your feet will be warm and toasty heated through the underfloor heating hiding underneath the traditional stone floor. Put your feet up on the comfy sofa and watch the flames flicker in the wood burner or catch up on your favourite TV programmes on the Smart TV. The dining table is designed with chunky wood and compliments the rest of the furniture in the room nicely. Located off the open plan space is the bright and fresh looking kitchen with everything you need during your stay such as electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Enjoy long lazy lie in, in the sumptuous super-king-size bed after a good nights rest. The bathroom offers a shower over bath, sink and WC.

Outside spend your days relaxing in the hot tub which is fully covered for use all year round. Dine alfresco with outdoor seating overlooking the pretty landscaped garden with a stream meandering through. The garden is fully enclosed and pet friendly with off road parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Perfect location, plenty to do in/around the area, great for walking. The Potting Shed is delightful - spotlessly clean, well equipt, stunning garden and friendly hosts who aim to please. Dogs welcomed & dog friendly pub within walking distance serving amazing Sunday lunch.

By far one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed at! Jacqui and Peter are great hosts, give you your privacy but are always on hand if you need anything. The cottage was immaculate and had everything you need with beautiful smelling towels and bedding. The hot tub was so clean and checked every day. On arrival we were made extremely welcome by Jacqui and Peter, the cottage was immaculate they had thought of everything from milk in the fridge to toothbrushes in the bathroom and a lot more but I won't spoil it! sanitizer and masks were available for us should we need them when out and about, we had a our own hot tub which was lovely and warm (I Read moredefinitely made the most of it!) The cottage is absolutely beautiful. The owners have thought about everything - from the amazing welcome pack for both us and our dogs - to the amazing private garden with the hot tub. The property is close to Matlock and Bakewell and pubs nearby for excellent choice of food. Would highly recommend this cottage - will be definitely going back.

Peter and Jacqui were fantastic hosts and The Potting Shed has a lovely space around it for you and your dogs to enjoy. Not too far from plenty of walking routes. We really were able to fully relax whilst staying at The Potting Shed.

This couple are apparently new to the holiday let business. Well can I say others need to learn from them. This place is absolutely fabulous. We've stayed in many many holiday lets from the rediculous to (in the case) sublime. This is certainly a 5*plus property. Large totally enclosed beautiful garden. The Potting Shed was absolutely wonderful and it exceeded our expectations. Jacqui and Peter are the most friendliest people and they have done an incredible work with the place. It felt very luxurious with all the lovely smelling dressing gowns, soft towels, most comfortable bed and really good quality things throughout. The Potting Shed at Tansley is a very high quality property and the owners have down a brilliant job with it. The location is close to Matlock and Bakewell with many nearby tourist stops. Jacqui made us feel so welcome - sick a wonderful host who had thought of every single detail that would make us feel as though this was a home from home, but with added luxury! We had a wonderful stay at the Potting Shed. It felt like a home from home.
