If you’ve come to walk you can leave the car behind as there are waymarked paths available from your front door, along with circular walks that will guide you through open fields and rich woodland. Just three miles away you will find Usk a vibrant market town steeped in history with many charming old buildings, a wonderful Norman castle, a rural life museum, beautiful churches and a Town Trail which includes 28 sites of historic interest. This area is surrounded by breath taking forests and hillsides where you can also access The Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons.

Leave the village of Llangybi and climb the country lanes up to the barn, set within the grounds of the owner’s home enjoying views onto the countryside. Step inside, a great space for wet dogs and muddy boots, a utility area with washing machine and separate WC. A wooden door gives access to a spacious kitchen/diner the hub of the barn where you can sit comfortably at the table with friends and enjoy a glass of wine whilst the chef amongst you prepares a hearty meal. The kitchen has been finished with granite worktops and handcrafted cupboards. Well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. We had a lovely weeks stay at Ton Barn Cottage. It provided the perfect base for us to explore the surrounding area. The cottage is set in a peaceful location with stunning views. Our dog enjoyed running in the spacious garden. Lucy was very welcoming.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, with great facilities and really clean. The beds were really comfortable and the overall place had such a relaxing feel. Also great internet connection and phone reception, making it ideal to "work from home" for a few hours when needed. Our only regret was not booking for longer!

A lovely, comfortable cottage finished to a high standard. We were made very welcome whilst also given space and privacy for a great few days' break in a lovely part of the countryside.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful and quiet location yet less than a mile down the hill to the village where the Sunday lunch in the pub was delicious. Absolutely lovely cottage, just the right size for 2 or 4, in a very quiet, peaceful location. Lucy is a welcoming and totally approachable host. Very spacious comfortable cottage with a large outdoor area. Quiet location but nearby Usk has all the necessary shops and eateries. Lots to see and do by car or foot in this beautiful area.
