Situated in the popular Lake District town of Bowness-on-Windermere, this contemporary and well-designed apartment with beautiful garden is both spacious and comfortable, with a very warm and welcoming feel. Set back from the main street, in a quiet location, makes this the perfect base for a couple or family to experience everything the lakes has to offer. The location is very peaceful, yet only a short walk will bring you to the vibrant town of Bowness-On-Windermere with all it has to offer, from pubs and restaurants to cafés, delis and coffee shops & cinema. Or a short walk in the other direction will bring you to the town centre of Windermere with its own selection of shops, restaurants and supermarkets. During the day, head down to the shore of Lake Windermere, take in the beautiful views before joining a tour of the lake via the steamboats or if you prefer, hire some Kayaks and have your own mini adventures.

On entering the property, you firstly enter the grand open-plan kitchen/diner with large bay windows which are themselves a suntrap. The kitchen is a cook’s dream with space a plenty and everything you need to cook up a storm with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine and tumble dryer, along with a dining table and chairs. Along the corridor to the spacious lounge with two two-seater sofas and Smart TV, a perfect spot to relax with a film after a day’s exploring. Go down the stairs to the lower ground floor, on the left is a separate WC adjacent to the smaller bedroom, its king size bed can be made into twin beds by separate request to the bookings team, the en-suite has wash hand basin & shower. The larger king-size bedroom (adjacent) has plenty of storage space, en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower, wash hand basin and WC, also accessing the private garden via patio doors.

Outside the spacious garden has patio, decking and covered seating areas. Roadside parking is available.

The most perfect and relaxing stay. The property is well maintained, and a lovely large space. It was easy to find, park outside and access the property. The kitchen had lots of storage and handy equipment, we appreciated the welcome package. The living room was comfy, and we were grateful that it had a smart TV, it really made it feel like home. Fantastic location in-between Windermere and Bowness 10 min walk to each. Immaculately clean throughout with lovely welcome box and dressing grounds a lovely touch. The location of this cottage is perfect! Easy walking distance to both Bowness and Windermere. It is very spacious and has everything you will need. There is a new gate in the garden making it fully secure for your dogs. We did leave a day early due to wanting a good nights sleep as personally we found the bed to be extremely uncomfortable - that mRead moreay be personal preference. Beautiful flat. Very spacious kitchen and living area. Bedrooms nice especially the one that opens up to the private garden. Great location to walk into Bowness and bus stop at the bottom of the read. We had a perfect weekend break here

A lovely comfortable homely cottage. Ample space and the kitchen was very well equipped. Had a Tesco home delivery on arrival and was home from home. The area is very quiet and close to all amenities and Windermere . We had a wonderful week and will most certainly be returning.

Good property in a great location - walking to Windermere lake about 15 mins and you can get a bus to almost anywhere in the Lakes from there. Perfect house. Cozy and warm. Would have loved to be in the lovely garden but rained alot! Situated in between Windermere and Bowness.. easy to get to both by walking. Kitchen had everything you needed and the beds were VERY comfy. Everything you could need. We will stay again

The holiday property is clean & modern and in a good location for both Windermere & Bowness. A little welcome pack Garden is hard landscaped & enclosed, so perfect if you have dogs. The only drawback, Sainsbury's couldn't find property (didn't call us), so failed to deliver order :-(

Really nice accommodation in a lovely location with easy on street parking. All facilities worked perfectly and the garden was lovely. ( just needs the gate replacing )Kitchen was really well equipped with everything you need and to a good standard. Will be back in a few weeks and cant wait.

We had an excellent stay, very relaxing in a perfect location. The spacious kitchen and dining area was well equipped and the bedrooms and bed linen were comfortable. Lower Thornbarrow was nice enough the garden is an added bonus, for us the place did not feel homely it felt like a rental. Just little touches missing but perhaps we felt like this because we had just stayed at a beautiful property in Keswick the week before and prefer that area. The location was not for us a little far out and frankly Windermere Read moreand Bowness are disappointing. Parking is good with no issues. This was our second stay here and as before was lovely and clean and so well equipped for everything. The location it fabulous for Windermere and Bowness and everything is on walking distance. We booked kayaks and walked to Hilltop and Wray Castle and went on a lake cruise too. We ate at various local restaurants and pubs and all the food was so deRead morelicious.
