This red brick farmhouse sits deep within the Herefordshire countryside close to the Welsh borders and surrounded by well managed farmland, the perfect base for keen walkers and with a network of waymarked paths on the doorstep. Perfect for exploring the many market towns, Leominster, famed for its antique and curiosity shops. Presteigne a traditional market town with an eclectic choice of shops and quaint tea shops, Ludlow the thriving medieval market town is a haven for foodies with an abundance of excellent restaurants some of which are Michelin starred, a regular large local produce market, and a host of events and festivals throughout the year. Hay-on-Wye the literary town famed for its annual festival. Explore the Offa's Dyke pathway which runs along the border between England and Wales. A little further afield, the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains and the stunning Elan Valley are worth exploring whatever the time of year. Leave your muddy boots and coats in the porch before you step into the entrance hall. This beautiful home offers a warm welcome with spacious accommodation that’s perfect for any family holiday. The lounge is situated off the main hall, a great space where you can light the wood burner and relax in front of the TV.  For a little peace and quiet there is a garden room with seating, where you can enjoy the warmth of the summer sun and garden views. For the chefs amongst you there is a well-equipped kitchen with an electric hob and double built in ovens, microwave, Smeg fridge/freezer and dishwasher. For dining, there is a large table and chairs where you can enjoy a celebration supper. There is also a utility room with washing machine and a separate WC on the ground floor. So, when the day is done climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find three bedrooms. A king-size with en-suite shower and WC, there is a roof terrace with seating area where you can enjoy a morning coffee. A king-size with views onto the countryside and a twin room. There is a bathroom with a claw feet roll top bath, separate shower and WC.

The gardens are both private and enclosed, a great space for children to run around and play. There is a covered area with table and chairs that’s perfect for summer dining, along with a summer house where you can hide away at the bottom of the garden. There is private parking for three cars and storage for bikes. Within the complex of the The Granary is another property named The Cote which sleeps 2 persons, also available to book.

Fabulous house, everything you could want there. Beautifully clean. Internet has a tendancy to be slow at times, but it did not spoil our time there. Owners were very helpful could not do enough for us. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet peaceful time away. Thank you both.

This is a beautiful home with lovely, extensive gardens for both humans and dogs. Excellent quality and comfort from the furniture and fittings. It was a perfect bolthole to catch up with family. Loads of places to visit within short drives and plenty of walks of varying distances and difficulties. A fabulous property with everything you need decorated to a high standard and of the best quality. The garden was delightful and filled with bird song, a tranquil setting indeed. With the right weather you wouldn't want to venture from the property but we visited Leominister, Presteigne, Shobdon and Pembridge. Lovely accommodation. A little bit rural but we didn't mind that. Very comfortable and well equipped. I can imagine it's lovely in the summer with the covered BBQ area and sun room but we enjoyed the log burner very cosy.

Beautiful cottage really comfortable and was spacious enough for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. The kitchen is fabulous to cook in with all mod cons. Garden lovely for family fun, Dogs loved it too. If I had to say anything negative it was a little too far away from anywhere so there was a lot of driving.

The Granery is a superb house, Immaculate, comfortable and well equipped. It's in a rural location but within a 5 min drive to Prestinge for shops and eateries. It is central to visit Ludlow, Hereford, Leominster plus a couple of NT properties. During this holiday, we didn't manage any walks, but there are plenty of footpaths and walks you can do fRead morerom the house, plus you're not far from Mortimers Trail and Offa's Dyke. Fabulous property. Comfortable bed & furnishings of a high standard. Everything you can think of that you would need in the kitchen. Garden great for dogs & it really is enclosed! Shame that the walk to the pub is along quite a busy road so not great if youve got kids or dogs. Plenty of places to drive to within 20mins or so. We stayed for a long weekend at the end of September. The house is extremely comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen is well set out with plenty of cutlery and crockery. Beautiful home which was well equipped. A lovely large garden, with a heated patio area for when outside eating alfresco. The home can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The local villages are quaint. However, a car is an absolute necessity get out and about as closet shop is approx 3 miles away.

Fantastic stay at the Granary. Handy for Ludlow, Hereford and Wales. The cottage was so comfortable, great equipment and facilities. I slept without ear plugs it was so quiet and bed so comfortable . No 4 or 5 G but house WiFi, so no problems there, but we didnt have phone signal with Vodafone. It wasnt a massive problem but something to be aware oRead moref. This is a very comfortable tastefully decorated house; ideal for a quiet break with friends. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped and there are plenty of places to spread out and relax in the rest of the house. It snowed when we were there so we couldnt use the outside living space - so well have to back in better weather!!

An absolutely gorgeous cottage. It was warm and welcoming and very tastefully furnished. We had a wonderful stay, only wish it could have been longer. Every need was catered for in this comfortable, spacious, luxurious treat.
