This charming stone barn has been lovingly renovated and provides a great taste of rural life, with the beautiful sought-after village of Wedmore just a mile away with all its amenities.

Located just a mile from the village of Wedmore which lies between the Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills and has a variety of restaurants, independent shops and a delicatessen. You will have access to a vast choice of walks, cycle routes, fishing and birdwatching sites to choose from. You will also be within driving distance of Wells with its famous cathedral and shopping area and Cheddar, with its famous Gorge. Weston-Super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea are within a short drive with their golden sandy beaches, seaside shops, family entertainments and restaurants. The cities of Bristol and Bath offer extensive shopping facilities, theatres, cinemas, museums, bars and restaurants. You will also be nearby to Glastonbury and Street with Clarks Village.

This detached stone barn is now a stylish petite bolthole for those who want to get away from it all. Enter the private enclosed garden through a wooden gate set in a hedgerow via two steps, follow a short path and step down one step to this delightful property. Go into the open-plan retreat and settle in for a snug evening with a feast, a bottle of wine and a film on the TV. The kitchen area is cleverly fitted with an electric oven and hob and a fridge with ice compartment, perfect for cooking a lazy breakfast in bed, or a light supper. From here enter the stylish double bedroom and sleep tight after a busy day exploring. The contemporary en-suite shower room has a shower and WC.

Outside you'll find an enclosed secluded garden, with al fresco dining furniture. Here you can enjoy the sunshine with your favourite drink whilst planning the next day’s adventures. There is a private parking space for one car close to the property reached via a short walk down a no through lane.

Small but perfectly formed! A lovely quiet place to stay. I enjoyed a delightful week writing and composing in this delightful spot. The owner was very welcoming and informative. I popped over to see the stunning Wells Cathedral and Vicars Close. The local village had good pubs and food. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommended.

Lovely property and a great base for exploring, Wedmore is just a short drive away as is Wells. Really comfortable, would stay again :)

A small but well equipped, clean and comfortable property, ideal for a couple and conveniently placed for exploring many parts of the area. The access is awkward for those of limited mobility. The parking space is OK but is best reversed into. The owners are extremely pleasant and helpful and do all they can to help with any difficulties.

Really clean and well equipped place to stay. The treats we found on arrival were great - and being greeted when we arrived was a very kind, thoughful and welcome gesture. Thank you for providing a lovely place for us and or Dally to call 'home' on our visit to Somerset. Lovely scenery, walks and places to visit, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
