This property enjoys a tranquil countryside location just a short drive from the village of Sheepwash, where visitors will find a welcoming pub. Slightly further afield, the traditional market town of Great Torrington offers a range of shops, eateries, a great cinema, and a weekly pannier market offering local produce. For those who like to make the most of the surrounding countryside, there are plenty of walking and cycling routes nearby, including the traffic free Tarka Trail, and the wild beauty of Dartmoor. Of course, a trip to Devon would be incomplete without a day at the seaside, and the seaside town of Westward Ho! is just 16 miles to the north of the property, whilst the popular Cornish seaside town of Bude is found twenty one miles to the south-west.

This former barn has been lovingly converted to offer comfortable, single-storey, accommodation for four guests within tranquil countryside surroundings. On entering the cottage, via a few stone steps which lead to the front door, guests will discover the attractive light-filled lounge/diner with its wood burner , comfortable seating, dining table, Smart TV/DVD, and doors which open out onto the patio area. The stylish kitchen provides everything that guests will need to make themselves feel at home, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, Smeg fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. There are two restful bedrooms in the property: one super king size bedroom with option of being a twin and 1 double room, whilst the contemporary shower room has a shower and WC. A handy utility room provides extra space if required.

Outside, there is a patio directly to rear of the property, with table, chairs, and a charcoal BBQ, making a lovely spot to enjoy the peace and quiet over a drink or alfresco meal. Private wood fired hot tub with countryside views and firewood provided free of charge. Guests also have access to a paddock, which makes an ideal place for playing games and dog walking, whilst a covered barn offers a dartboard, a pool table and air hockey.

The cottage was stunning, beautifully decorated with lots of special features ie feather pillows, blankets, pool table, hot tub, hand made soap, fudge and cream tea. The owners were incredibly welcoming and always up for a chat. We loved visiting the Donkeys everyday and fed them apples. The roads are very narrow leading up to the cottage and when Read morevisiting program your sat nav with Sheepwash first, then the cottage postcode. The quietness in the evening was unreal and we loved it. Hide

Everything was perfect - the cottage was spick and span, we had a lovely, delicious cream tea waiting for us on arrival, the Rosemary folded into the towels was a lovely touch and the handmade soap was gorgeous.
