We found Grizedale a cosy, well equipped cottage for two. Spotlessly clean, warm and peaceful, with a comfy bed, great shower room and kitchen, as well as a small but comfortable lounge area. We've just had a most enjoyable week staying at 'Grizedale' - the location was perfect, with beautiful views and the cottage is equipped and furnished to the highest standard, and puts some hotels to shame. The owners have thought of everything - including the selection of circular walks for guests to enjoy. We look forward to a return visit. DavidRead more & Jim Hide

Ideal for 2 people and in a quiet spot. It would be difficult to fault the property in any way. The bed was particularly comfy. Only drawback, and this is no reflection on the property itself is that it is up a single track road which could make passing vehicles problematic. That said, not much traffic uses it so I wouldn't let that put me off.

A little bolt hole in the Lakes. The cottage was immaculate, well equipped and cosy. There were plenty of walks to do straight from the door. The cottage is located up a very quiet lane but within walking distance of The Outgate Inn. It was, without doubt, the best accommodation we have stayed in.

A recently refurbished cottage which was beautifully clean and very well equipped. A lot of the equipment looked as though it had hardly been used. It was quiet and a good base for visiting different parts of the Lakes. There is a pub with good food a few minutes walk away. A lighter tog duvet is needed though for the summer months.
