This gorgeous shepherds hut is one of two nesting on a 100 acre sheep farm with a trail and public footpath on site, boasts a lovely finish throughout and provides the perfect base for a truly relaxing couples retreat to Devon.

The property sits near the pretty village of Holne which is right in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, a location to rival any other with days of adventuring and exploring the area, rugged tors and open countryside where the Dartmoor ponies roam in their natural surroundings, traditional pubs and fabulous dark skies. The accommodation is ideal for great getaways whether a romantic retreat or none stop exploring and rambling the trails and tors. A perfect spot within Dartmoor National Park, a central position between both North and South coast making it a great base for land and sea lovers.

Step inside this beautiful shepherds hut and into the perfectly designed and comfortable living area. This brilliantly flexible space includes ample room to lounge and dine, and the wood burner and natural wool insulation keeps things warm and cosy whatever the weather. Also included here is the compact yet perfectly appointed kitchen which boasts all the essentials including a two ring electric hob and fridge, and here you can prepare fresh ingredients sourced from one of the many local farmers markets. At the end of the day the dining area cleverly transforms into a bedroom given the brilliant feature of a pull-down double bed. Completing the offering and providing further creature comforts in this lovely rustic environment is a perfectly appointed shower room with shower and WC.

Venture outside and further highlights await in the form of a private gravelled patio area with garden furniture, fire-pit and a gas BBQ. Here is the perfect place to dine alfresco or just relax with a glass of your favourite tipple after a day exploring the moor, and whilst watching the sun set over the farm. Off-road parking for one car is also provided directly outside.

We had a brilliant time in Bench Tor. The huts have been finished to an exceptional standard and Lisa has really thought of everything we might need! Theres no need to bring salt, pepper or tea with you! It was a really relaxing couple of days and would highly recommend it! This was an amazing getaway for an unmatched price. The hut is in the centre of the moors with sheep at the doorstep. The hut had everything we needed and more! The shower was hot, the job and kitchen equipment was all modern and new and the bed was very comfy. Every detail in the hut had been thought through carefully and it all really paid off! We absolutely loved our stay here! Everything about the hut has been well thought out and has everything you need. Lisa and Richard were so accommodating and have taken time to map out different walks in the area. Well be back for sure!

FAULTLESS!!! My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing week away at Bench Tor. The hut was immaculately clean and contained everything we needed including an amazing gas BBQ, detailed mapped out walks of the near by moor and information regarding things to do in the local area. Rural location, hi-end spec and beautifully fitted out. Owners very welcoming and friendly and would make a romantic setting for couples all year round.
