This captivating property sits on the banks of the Beaulieu river and has wonderful views of the water. Surrounded by the New Forest National Park, this is the ideal choice for a romantic break

This historic property was built in 1760 to utilise the healing waters of the Beaulieu River, which sits just beyond a public footpath beside the building. Backed by the beautiful New Forest National Park, there are miles of open forest to explore right on the doorstep. Those wishing to get active can chose from numerous activities locally including, kayaking, canoeing, walking and riding. Why not try out one of the cafes and pubs along the way. Lovers of history can head to Buckler’s Hard or visit the National Motor Museum, Palace House and Beaulieu Abbey, nestled within the Beaulieu Estate. Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway is also easily accessible or take the ferry from Lymington to the Isle of Wight.

A shared driveway brings you through the adjoining boat yard to the property. A path leads from the parking area to the entrance into this detached former bath house. Once inside you are met with a contemporary kitchen immediately to the right, which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher. An outdoor utility area houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. A step leads up to the bathroom, which has a bath, separate shower and WC. Heading back through the kitchen will bring you to the double bedroom and then the lounge that runs the full depth of the property. This inviting space has a Smart TV, Bluetooth radio and a wood burner effect electric fire, ideal for enjoying romantic evenings in.

Head out from the lounge or kitchen into the enclosed garden, where table and chairs provide the perfect space to enjoy a relaxed breakfast or evening drinks. The garden wraps around the property and has a covered seating area to the front, which has wonderful views of the river. An unenclosed pond (the Dukes former bath) sits to the side of the property (care to be taken with children and dogs). An off-road parking space can be found approximately 100m to the rear of the property.

Had such a lovely break in this beautifully appointed, comfortable private cottage that we have booked to stay again in 6 months time! Great location and base for everything the New Forest has to offer but equally good for a quiet bolt hole to get away from the world- we loved it!

Fabulous garden, large, private and enclosed. Ideal for a dog. The cottage itself is idyllic and so beautifully decorated and fitted out. The walks around the property and the boats in the inlet outside your front door were picture perfect. All the staff we met on the Beaulieu Estate were so welcoming. The walks in the New Forest were extensive (a Read moreshort drive away) with large fenced forestry areas too if you wanted to avoid the ponies and cattle. A perfect location to chill! Hide

Absolutely stunning little cottage with an amazing, large but quite secluded garden. Beautiful setting with Bucklers Hard literally on the doorstep. We had a lovely week there.
