This was a last minute short break and how we wish it had been longer! Rowan sent me a friendly message shortly after our booking with all the details about the house, including photos on how to find it. The apartment is the basement of the main house with it's own front door. It has been modernised tastefully and in keeping with its age. We were very warm and comfortable. Appreciated the many thoughtful touches such as the vases filled with greenery from the gardens, the games, books, magazines, maps. Id imagine children would spend rainy days happily in the games room. A good base to explore the area by car and lovely walks off the main road from the doorstep.

This is our second stay at the Lovatt MacKenzie and it was every bit as fabulous as the last. Perfect location, friendly and helpful hosts and very comfortable & beautiful property. Beauly itself is also a delight - Campbells, Downright Gabbler, Cafe on the Square & Robertsons farm shop all worth a visit.
