This reverse level barn conversion is ideally located to explore the glorious Northumberland coast and countryside with all it has to offer with something for everyone.

Located on the Northumberland Heritage Coast, close to Bamburgh, Holy Island and miles of beautiful, wide sandy beaches. Waren Mill is a quiet hamlet just across the road from Budle Bay which forms part of Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve, and is popular for its bird-watching and photography opportunities. Bamburgh is around three miles away with its famous castle and beautiful sandy beach. Take a trip across the tidal causeway to Holy Island (Lindisfarne) or a boat trip from Seahouses to the Farne Islands with their amazing bird life. The lovely seaside villages of Craster, Alnmouth, Warkworth and Beadnell are nearby. Travelling inland, the Cheviot Hills are within easy reach. Alnwick and Berwick are a short drive away and provide a wider range of shopping and dining opportunities.

Entering this reverse level property on the ground floor, you will find the bathroom is to your to right with a shower over bath and WC. Completing the ground floor are the two bedrooms, one twin and one double. Heading up the stairs you will come to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which still retains the original beams and a wonderful high ceiling. In the lounge you will find two sofas surrounding the Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker, a great place to sit and relax. Next is the dining area with a table and seating for four, perfect to catch up over the days adventures and plan the next. In the kitchen you will find everything you need with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washing machine.

Heading outside there is an outdoor table and chairs, perfect to dine alfresco in the shared courtyard. There is a private parking space for one car at the back of the property. Please note this property has a private water supply.

Lovely clean and comfortable cottage fully equipped with everything we needed and a comprehensive information folder. There are lovely walks from the cottage as it is on the England Coastal Path and also a regular bus route between Berwick and Alnwick.

Remote location for quiet holiday, no pubs or restaurants within walking distance. Cottage was nice but needs much improvement on cleaning.

Perfect location for a quiet holiday. Car needed for access to shops, eateries, etc., we found nothing in the immediate vicinity. With a car, the location is fantastic for access to numerous attractions in the area.

In a good location close to Bamburgh and within walking distance of a bay and beach but the road you walked on was busy with no path in some places. The rooms were warm and beds were comfortable. Plenty of bedding & towels. We had a lovely week in the cottage with friends joining us for a couple of nights - there was plenty of room for us all. Great little property. Rustic and we'll equipped. The shower is quite underpowered and a bit lackluster, it also (at time of writing) leaks onto the bathroom floor. Which makes an exciting slip and slide on the tiled floor. But a nice comfy bed and a spacious lounge area are great features.

Beautifully finished property in a peaceful location just minutes away from Bamburgh. Light and airy open plan upstairs room with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable seating area was a lovely place to spend time. Great attention to detail with coastal themed decor, photo books and OS maps of the local area provided. Smugglers Hideaway is a wonderfully welcoming, situated and equipped 'home from home.' We particularly appreciated the detailed folder of advice and recommendations which directed us towards some amazing attractions, walks and eateries (especially if you like crab sandwiches!).
