Set within the grounds of the farmhouse this traditional brick barn has been finished with an interesting collection of artworks, rustic homewares and salvage yard treasures.

The peaceful hamlet of Saul is steeped in history with many pretty cottages and farms, here you can leave the car behind and enjoy countryside, there are many well marked footpaths accessible within the village to include a short walk to Saul Junction where the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal meets the Stroudwater Canal and was a great meeting place for ships and crew, as this was the route that the tall ships took from the River Severn to Gloucester Docks a few miles up the canal. Also, within walking distance Frampton on Severn a popular village with two pubs, a cafe, an excellent village shop and reputedly the longest village green in England. Also, within easy reach is The Forest of Dean, as well as Berkeley Castle, Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and Westonbirt Arboretum.

The barn is situated to the rear of the grounds of a traditional farm house. Single storey with an eclectic style cleverly honed by the owners. Step inside and you will be pleasantly surprised by the open plan living. The space is perfect for catching up with friends and offers a lounge area with vintage furnishings unique artwork and a wood burner for chilly evenings. A reclaimed table and chairs have been well placed and lends well to simple dining. The kitchen has polished concrete work surfaces and is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, Smeg fridge/freezer, integrated washing machine and dishwasher. This area of the barn enjoys the natural light from the large picture windows. To the rear of the barn a reading area where you can hide away with a good book and enjoy the views onto the courtyard gardens. There are two bedrooms accessed off a hallway. A king sized bedroom with TV and en-suite walk in shower and WC and a further king sized room with TV. There is also a shower and WC off this hallway.

Outside the rear of the barn a courtyard area with table and chairs for summer dining. There is off road parking for two cars.

We had a lovely week at Saul Farm Barn which is nice and quirky with lovely beds (nice sleep enjoyed) and wonderful showers. Bindy and Rob were very helpful and approachable. It was lovely to be able to go on lots of walks in what is a very peaceful and quiet area straight from the door. Saul and the neighbouring villages of Frampton and Framilode Read moreare lovely and when we ventured outside of the immediate area we sound nice places such as Minchinhampton, Nailsworth, Nympsfield. Despite it being the last week of the summer holidays we did not find places busy it seems that this area is as of yet relatively undiscovered compared to the main Cotswolds Hide

Just had a fabulous week staying with friends in this quirky, well equipped barn conversion. Perfect enclosed back garden for our dog and we spent most of our time out there. Ideal for fresco meals, coffee and wine. Does need a new set of more comfortable garden furniture maybe with a umbrella. Ample safe parking. Very good quality bedding and toweRead morels. One tip I would say for anyone staying in hot weather is to take a portable fan to cool the bedroom at night, it was very hot. Hide

A luxiourius holiday home, in a beautiful location with great walks and quaint villages surrounding. The owners have gone to great trouble to provide everything a guest may need to have a peaceful and relaxing break away from busy life. We thoroughly enjoyed our retreat at the Saul farm barn and are excited to return.

We had a fantastic week, the barn was spacious and comfortable and we loved some of the quirky furnishings. Like a previous reviewer, we werent too sure about the area beforehand, but found loads of things to do and lots of local walks. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Saul Farm Barn was a great holiday destination for our group of four adults. The kitchen and bathrooms were of an exceptionally high standard, clean and well equipped. Our booking was a bit last minute and the location not what would normally have chosen but we thoroughly enjoyed it, starting each day with a stroll along the canal. The accommodation was excellent and Bindy was most friendly and helpful.
