We are delighted to welcome this charming cottage into our exclusive Joules Collection. The brand’s signature style is peppered throughout the property, particularly in the king-size bedroom which features soft, Joules bedding and an accent chair.

Enjoying an enviable location at the foot of the Black Mountains and within walking distance of the village centre renowned for its village store and 12th century Norman Castle. This peaceful part of the National Park offers some of the best walking within the area from your doorstep, explore the Black Mountains and join the Offa’s Dyke pathway where you can follow the ridge all the way across to the Hay Bluff. Ideal for touring with the market town of Abergavenny with a regular farmers market and food festival, Crickhowell nestled within the Usk Valley and Hay on Wye with an eclectic range of book shops that all celebrate the book festivals throughout the year, make the most of the Herefordshire Countryside and follow the Great Cider Route, or join in the many local produce festivals. Set at the foot of the Black Mountains with uninterrupted views across the Hatterrall Ridge and surrounding farmland, this beautifully restored barn with a contemporary twist blends well into the rugged landscape. Step inside the entrance hall where you can leave the day behind and still enjoy the this magnificent landscape from the glass corridor that will lead you into the contemporary part of the conversion, here you have open plan living where you can relax, cook and dine whilst enjoying the views from the glazed lounge area. Relax with friends in front of the wood burner, there is space for dining if you chose to eat in and a contemporary kitchen that will impress the best of chefs well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher. There is also a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. So, when the day is done you will find a spacious bedroom on the ground floor, this is a king-size zip-and-link with stunning views and TV. There is also a shower room with WC on this floor. Climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find one bedroom, a king-size zip-and-link with stunning views and TV, there is also a bathroom with separate shower and WC.

Outside the cottage conversion offers an uninterrupted landscape with patio area where you can relax in the private hot tub, the black skies are some of the best in the UK. There is a table and chairs for dining and BBQ. There is off road parking for two cars and bike storage.

We have just returned from an incredible week at the cottage. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and home made cup cakes which went down very nicely. Hot tub was great after having long days out exploring the area. A stunning place to stay! The views are jaw dropping and the patio and hot tub are great spots from which to enjoy them. The large flat lawn is lovely for games. Inside, the cottage has been beautifully restored, decorated and furnished to perfection. We had a fantastic week at the cottage with unbelievable weather. The cottage is very luxurious and you will be spoilt with amazing views and sunsets over the black mountain. The hot tub is a great addition to relax after a busy day out and take in the surroundings. Rob and Julie looked after us so well ensuring the cottage was immaculate on our arRead morerival, helping out with walks and running routes and also getting fans at short notice to help us cope with the heat. The cottage is the perfect place to relax, it has lots of home comforts, its decor and furnishings are gorgeous, the hot tub is lovely, we had a fantastic time , exploring the countryside and little towns in the area, we will be back!!

Lovely owners, even drove out to get us there during the bad weather. The property was so well equipped and had everything we needed. Very spacious. The area is just beautiful and you get amazing views even from the back garden. The village has a well equipped shop selling local produce as well as a pub which does amazing meals and offering takeawaRead morey in the current climate as well. One of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed. The location is fantastic, views spectacular, the property fabulous. There are not many locations you can walk out of the front door for 6 days and do a different walk every day, from challenging high ridgelines to strolls in the valley. We would absolutely recommend the cottage, the views are stunning, you could sit and watch all day! The hot tub is perfect too. We have two young children who loved the garden and seeing the farm animals. Sadly the weather wasnt great, which meant we had to drive a little way to find places to visit due to Wales being on COVID lockdown. Rob & Julie were fantastic and friendly hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The photos do not do the cottage justice! The views were amazing and the cottage was beautiful and set in a lovely little village. The whole cottage is of a high standard which made it even more enjoyable. Were looking forward to booking here again next year!
