Nestling within the stunning and rugged Exmoor National Park, this delightful spacious property is an ideal base for families wishing to explore the picturesque North Devon and Somerset coastlines.

This delightful holiday home is just a few miles from the pretty moorland town of Dulverton, which offers a variety of good pubs and restaurants. The stunning and dramatic Exmoor National Park is nearby, and offers a fantastic range of breathtaking walks with spectacular views. You can walk to the Tarr Steps in the heart of Exmoor and enjoy the sights of the beautiful wooded valley of the River Barle. There are also opportunities for horse riding and fishing nearby. A short drive away is the glorious North Devon coast, with its picturesque views, sandy beaches, charming seaside towns including Porlock, Lynmouth and Lynton, the Valley of the Rocks, and the breathtaking coastal walk from Heddons Mouth to Woody Bay.

On entering this charming cottage, two steps down will take you into the traditional and welcoming lounge. Tastefully furnished, with comfy seating, TV, DVD and wood burner effect gas fire, this is an ideal space to relax in at the end of a wonderful day. Moving through the lounge you will find the conservatory with seating and bistro tables, where you can sit back and enjoy the garden views. Exploring this lovely property further you will find an additional study/lounge with a sofa bed which can accommodate 2 people. You will also find an attractive dining room adjacent to the kitchen with comfortable seating for 8, as well as TV and DVD. Moving into the attractively designed kitchen you will find it fully equipped with Rayburn, twin burner gas hob, microwave and dishwasher. Next to the kitchen is a larder with fridge/freezer, and the washing machine and dryer are housed in the utility room, which has access directly out onto the patio. There is also a separate WC on the ground floor. Heading up to the first floor you will find three comfy bedrooms. There’s a master bedroom with a king-size double bed, dressing area, feature fireplace and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. The second bedroom has twin beds which can be made up as a zip-linked king-size double upon request, and there’s also a cosy twin bedroom. You will also find a quaint French style bathroom, with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Stepping outside, you can unwind in the terraced cottage garden with a patio area and pond. Ample private off-road parking is available for 4 cars directly outside of the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautiful garden, views & lovely quiet location. House had a very welcoming family feel to it and was very clean & well equipped. Good to find information about how appliances worked, especially useful for the Rayburn.

Lovely cottage, beautiful garden for relaxing in, dogs enjoyed their time there. Very comfortable cottage from lounge furniture to the beds. Had issue with the internet whilst there but this was promptly sorted by Alan, thankfully. Lovely location, short drive away from Dulverton, Watchet, Minehead, further afield is Lynton and Lynmouth . The cottaRead morege is set back of a fairly steep lane, I certainly toned up my calf muscles taking the dogs for their morning walks, bottle of wine was lovely, thanks Hide

This is a really lovely cottage with a pretty and spacious garden in a beautiful location. The rooms are all a good size and very comfortable. Its in easy reach of some lovely walks including the stunning views from Dunster Beacon and the pretty river valley to Tarr Steps. Stayed at the Red Door House (23/4/21 - 01/05/21). If you like tranquillity, quietness and just listening to the birds, pheasants and nature, this property and location is for you. Easy reach of Exmoor, so great places to visit and see. Property is well designed and well equipped, just need to get use to cooking on the Rayburn Cooker. Garden and CoRead morenservatory great sun traps, with lots of different places to sit and chill. Thoroughly recommenced. Hide

Delightful cottage, lovely gardens, well equipped, warm and cosy, and well placed for walking on moor, by sea, or in valleys and paths over farm/pastural land, and great if you happen to be a fly fisherman! We are going back next month!
