Nestled in a peaceful beautiful countryside position on a large family run beef and sheep farm. Close to the historic market town of Dumfries and Castle Douglas, with their excellent range of leisure facilities, great selection of shops, restaurants and friendly inns to enjoy. The splendid Solway Firth is close at hand, boasting 200 miles of spectacular coastline and an array of sandy beaches to explore. There are many attractions in the area including Caerlaverock, Threave and Drumlanrig castles, Robert Burns house, numerous golf courses and wildlife reserves. For an active holiday, there are plenty of walking, hiking and cycling routes in the immediate area and the famous Seven Stanes mountain bike trails is within easy reach.

Stepping inside this spacious detached farmhouse from the fully enclosed patio into the hall, through to the light and bright lounge. Relax on the comfortable sofas and enjoy cosy nights in front of the roaring wood burner or enjoy a movie together on the Smart TV. Next is the kitchen, perfect place to cook up a storm with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a handy dishwasher. Followed by the lovely dining area ideal to enjoy family or romantic meals together. Continuing back through the hall you are met with the snug with comfortable seating and Smart TV. Next is the stylish shower room with large shower and WC. Completing the ground floor is the handy utility room with washing machine and direct access outside. Heading up the stairs to the first floor you will find four light and bright bedrooms, all with ample storage space and beautiful countryside views. Comprising of two kings-size bedrooms and two twins. Finally completing the accommodation is the stylish bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Venturing outside onto the enclosed patio area you will find the fantastic private hot tub with beautiful countryside views to enjoy.  There is a charcoal BBQ and seating area with comfortable table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining and lazy evening star gazing. Also found there is a mature enclosed garden in front of the property. Ample private off-road parking is available.

Spacious and tastefully decorated, the cottage comes well equipped even for enthusiastic cooks like our offspring. Lovely spacious property in a peaceful rural location. Excellent space for large family. Hot tub slightly small for size of property but the rest of the outdoor and indoor space is fantastic. Enclosed garden excellent for dogs. Property close to all local amenities and a lovely area to explore. Would definitely recommend this property.

Stunning and spotless. Couldn't fault it. Surrounded by wildlife, cows and hares and rabbits everywhere. Red kites and deer nearby as well. Gorgeous view out to the fields and hills. We have just enjoyed a fab long weekend at Braco Farmhouse. The property is in a great location and easy to get to from the main road. The house was clean and spacious, and had plenty of room for 7 adults, a baby and 2 dogs. We also got some really good weather and were able to spend a lot of time outside in the garden which was safe for the dogs wRead moreithout them being constantly supervised. We stayed at the lovely Braco Farmhouse for a long weekend and when I say I was blown away by the property, its definitely an understatement!! The location was perfect, completely peaceful and the farmhouse itself was just beautiful. The scenery both inside and outside of the property was amazing. Lovely farmhouse in beautiful surroundings. There was a great welcome pack waiting for us on arrival which was a lovely touch. We loved the wood burning fire and the hot tub. The outdoor area is fully enclosed which is great for the dog. We really enjoyed our weekend, thank you!

Great farmhouse, very spacious and lots of storage areas, we stayed a weekend but if there for longer would manage comfortably as plenty facilities too ie washing machine, dishwasher and clothes rack for drying. Lovely roomy and comfortable cottage, beautifully furnished, in the heart of the countryside on a working farm. We could watch red kites flying daily over the nearby fields and a weasel hunting in the fields from the upstairs windows. If youre thinking of booking: do it! Weve just returned from a 3 night stay. Its beautiful and there is nothing the hosts have not thought of. We stayed here with 7 adults, a newborn and 2 dogs and couldn't fault the place! It was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed and had beautiful views. The host was extremely helpful, I asked if we could check in slightly early if possible and he was more than accommodating with our request and very good at communicating with us!

We had a fabulous time at Braco. The farmhouse is spacious, well set out, immaculately clean and has everything required for a great holiday. The outside patio with comfy furniture, hot tub and grass to the side had fabulous views and provided the perfect place to relax. This house was gorgeous and such great value for money. We were staying for a girls weekend away and we had tonnes of space. Everything was provided for us and had a lovely welcome basket which was very much appreciated. Getting there was easy with directions and we had a brilliant weekend. We booked this cottage as a surprise for our friends 30th birthday. Amazing locations, great views of the country side. Tesco 5 mins down the road. Hot tub was a great feature. Open fire and tv to chill. Great side rooms and lovely open plan kitchen. Overall amazing visit.
