With the stunningly beautiful Shropshire Hills rising behind this spacious barn conversion, this cottage provides the perfect rural retreat within easy reach of a host of lovely market towns and visitor attractions. Set on the owner’s smallholding surrounded by 10 acres of grazing land and boasting far reaching views this is a perfect location for exploring by foot or cycle with miles of pretty country lanes and footpaths to explore from the doorstep. This a great year-round destination with plenty of museums, galleries to visit along with the notable towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury with independent shops and eateries.

Approached via a private lane with stunning views, enter this lovely barn conversion into a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a space to come together after a busy day exploring. The lounge area is cosy with a wood burner in a magnificent inglenook fireplace where you can relax and watch a film on the smart TV. A dining table and chairs is set to one side and will accommodate six guests comfortably. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and Nespresso machine. On the ground floor is a useful utility room with a dishwasher, washing machine and drying rack. The first of the spacious bedrooms is a twin on the ground floor along with a shower room and WC. Then a lovely oak stairs take you to the first floor where a king-size bedroom and a double bedroom are situated along with their own en-suite shower rooms with WC's. There is also a freezer in the stable along with logs.

Open the patio doors and step out on to the patio area, a perfect extension of the lounge in the summer months with garden furniture and charcoal BBQ provided. The enclosed gardens surround the property with bicycle storage available. There is private parking for four cars.

What a fabulous stay we had. The views were stunning! It's located a stones throw from Carding Mill Valley and Long Mynd with breathtaking scenery. The cottage itself is incredibly well appointed, spotlessly clean, and cosy. We'd highly recommend staying here!

Gorgeous cottage with phenomenal views, comfort, and tranquility. Spotlessly clean with everything we needed. A beautifully decorated and designed cottage in its own private surroundings and with stunning views of the countryside. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds . The owners are lovely & a welcoming freshly baked cake , milk etc are there ready for your arrival. Plenty of great walks on your doorstep too. Our stay was just the tonic we needed.

A great escape to the countryside for a Family Christmas break. Cottage well equipped and cosy. The area was absolutely stunning and the cottage has wonderful views! Dogs loved the surrounding fields. There were good walks on Long Mynd that are accessible. Would stay again.

A beautiful barn conversion. Every aspect of easy self-catering with pets has been considered. For wet days, there's ample space in the utility & ground floor shower room for grotty kit. For sunny days the garden is a sun trap. Views are stunning at any time. The cottage is spacious & spotless. The kitchen has everything you could need. Welcome pacRead morek is terrific. The cottage was in a beautiful location - very quiet, with wonderful views and many places to visit not far away. Very dog friendly. Each bedroom had its own shower room, and the large downstairs kitchen/dining/living space was ideal for 5 adults and 2 dogs. A perfect peaceful getaway - and delicious lemon drizzle cake in the welcome pack.

Lovely cottage, extremely well equipped, wonderful views and very dog friendly. The garden is secure (it is not obvious from the picture but the gaps in the railings have wire mesh in them). Highly recommended.

Wild Moor Cottage is set in a peaceful location with wonderful views. The facilities at the cottage are very good with every bedroom having its own en-suite shower, a comfortable and large open plan kitchen, diner, lounge together with a separate utility room which came in very handy for cleaning the dogs after our walks. Wild Moor Cottage is a well appointed and comfortable holiday home in a lovely location. There is excellent walking from the property and a range of places to visit, both National Trust and English Heritage properties are close by. Clare and Adrian were excellent hosts.

A wonderful, dog friendly place to stay. Amazing views with walks straight from the door up onto the Long Mynd. The owners were lovely - on hand to be helpful but never intrusive. The homemade cake on arrival was a nice touch.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The log burner had been lit before we arrived, making the cottage welcoming, warm and cosy. A lovely place to relax and unwind. We have two German Shepherds - stunning walks from doorstep across the Long Mynd. The garden was enclosed without detracting from the lovely view.

An excellent converted farm building beautifully restored with everything the visitor might require for their stay. The views from the lounge are superb. Lots to see and do in the area and a decent local pub about a mile or so away - The Bridges. A really enjoyable week and one of our party has already rebooked for next year!

A beautiful property in a lovely spot with fantastic views. Was fine for six adults as had three shower rooms! Spotlessly clean. Very comfy beds. Lots to see and do locally and further afield. We went to open air theatre in Shrewsbury castle, had a day pass for Farmer Phil's festival, visited the RAF museum, Iron age hill fort, long mynd, lovely chRead moreurches and several good pubs to name a few. Phone signal is patchy but internet worked well. Tesco delivery had no problems finding us! Hide

5 of us plus a dog stayed for a week in August. First impressions were of a clean, comfortable house in a stunning location, all of which proved to be correct. The owners have equipped the house with everything we could have asked for, and as the property has been refurbished quite recently, everything is in great condition. This is a a well equipped and comfortable modern cottage with fantastic views. We really enjoyed our stay and taking our greyhound out for walks on the Long Mynd hills which are a relatively short walk from the cottage were really enjoyable.
